What is the difference between Cyanogenmod/Koush and Ultimate Droid?

Are there any significant differences between these two roms?

Using ROM Manager you can switch between the two without a need for wiping your data...

Other differences between the two ROMs:

*Cyanogen has more themes available in the ROM Manger app
*Cyanogen 5.0.5.6 and above added the option to disable USB Debugging notification
*Cyanogen 5.0.5.6 and above have the 5 column launcher drawer (launcher dependent)
*Cyanogen 5.0.5.6 and above have new camera features (antibanding, focus mode, jpeg quality)

Speaking of, looks like the new Ultimate Droid (9.8.0) is built from source code, like Cyanogenmod. Not sure if this is true or not, but I do like to see some competition in the ROM department (even if I stick to one).

lol it's a good rom if you choose every other release.... but in the middle releases it's a nightmare.

Yeah I think Pete got a little heated with him but if you pay attention he's using a lot of stuff from other devs but tried it last night didn't seem fast enough for me to be running a 1.2 kernel

Yeah I saw Pete's twitter attack at him a couple months ago. I know some stuff is taken, but I cannot verify if it stolen or given. Idk, I liked it a lot, especially since he always added new stuff, but CM just is...better.

Never really tried BBeast or BBeauty - nothing against him, never got around to it.

R1Lover, I agree, blackdroid puts out a lot of stuff that should be termed "beta", but he doesn't specify. I am almost never using UD again, as 8.6.3 almost broke my phone - from screwing with the overclock, to breaking sync, etc, it just really let me down.

Honestly...not really a fan of the 5 column launcher. Too cluttered for me. I wish there was the option to revert back to the 4 column one.

Been here since the day the Droid came out...just don't post like I used to in the Blackberry days...

Same here...the app names are truncated without the addition of an additional row. On 5.6 and (above), just add the Helix launcher and you will be back to 4.

You have to root your N1 prior...ROM Manager is for rooted phones only. Give this a look-see:

They say patience is a virtue, but at times it's just a bitch. LOL. I think the 30 day period is good for most people because it gives them time to learn their phone before they root. Just a general statement...I know your skills are above that. What features are you looking for in terms of rooting i.e overclocking, LED hack?

Why? Because, you wont be returning it in the 30day period, or ever lol

The difference is minor now that he BlackDroid stold Cyanogens rom, themed it and called it his own.

UD 10 is a themed Cyanogen Rom.

Looks like he did use a lot from cyanogen mod. I guess their gethub worked for him. It's still bogus though

Just checked out the thread and it seems they have deleted most of the post against BD and DA your post should not have gotten you banned from what I read. When they say they are going to strip down the ROM they will be able to tell what was ripped off right?

I think I just got myself banned but u don't care he could've said were he got a lot if those features from and been upfront cool but when he says random people design stuff that's in only one Rom you know were he got it he has never been that good to do all is that
