What is the difference between Cyanogenmod/Koush and Ultimate Droid?

no i think their problem was latching onto the wrong dev steal work he got banned from alldroid for warez the only thing he had to do was remove a link. just think he was outed as what he is and its about time

Yeah, they are defending "their" developer, after he was banned from Alldroid (as bizz mentioned). They mention they are looking into it, but I doubt that it is actually happening.

They say patience is a virtue, but at times it's just a bitch. LOL. I think the 30 day period is good for most people because it gives them time to learn their phone before they root. Just a general statement...I know your skills are above that. What features are you looking for in terms of rooting i.e overclocking, LED hack?

Not even sure. LED hack sounds good. I also want the ability to use SetCPU and the ability to use Apps2SD. Mainly, I want improved battery life without having to turn my brightness down all the way.

If you love your droid enough, you'll root now

Since you have the N1 a good ROM for you to try would be JRummy's Remix v0.5; in the spare parts app he has put the ability to choose different LED colors for alarm clock, email, missed call, and voicemail. it's like a mini version of BerryBuzz (BeBuzz). Because it is themed on top of the Cyanogen 5.0.5.7 ROM, the SetCPU kernels and Apps2SD features are also there.

I'm running "Clean Looks", which I got from ROM manager. It is also nice, and very smooth.

However, for the first time in 2 months, I don't have a 3D Launcher. Madre de Dios, this is a change...

They didn't ban me just locked the thread and deleted every one of my post on the topic. No final answer yet but from one of the mods. It appears it was based off of cyanogen and he's in the process of changing things now

Oh and just to answer the OP's Question. Ultimate Droid is just a themed version of Cyanogen. So you really load Cyanogen either way.

Try 5.0.6 Test4. Its great.
