What is the FINAL RESULT of your OTA update?

my phone sees the update rooted and with bloat frozen. and i unfreeze bloat and it still sees and tries to download the update.

once it reboots the android has a red triangle with an exclamation point in it. either bloated or not.

i'm not worried. once a good ICS ROM comes out i'll just flash that and not worry about un-rooting, re-rooting and all that jazz.

I actually like the speed and performance of my Rezound stock. And i like what Sens is doing with ICS. That's why im back unrooted. Other than bloatware, i really don't need to root.

Two non rooted phones one connected data via wi-fi and the other connected via 4g. Both phones took the update however the wi-fi phone failed download 3 times (error 402) and the 4g failed once with the same error. Did get the updated on the 4th and 2nd try respectively.

Could someone please describe how I can confirm if the update has been installed on a Rezound?

look at the signal bars on the notification bar. if you have 5 bars, then you have the update. if you only have 4 bars, then you don't have the update.

No luck here with the update, tried multiple times the manual method and it just doesn't execute, what's the deal?

Hard resets/soft resets, Nothing.

My update went pretty smooth - only about 10 minutes. I have a stock Rezound (for now)... One thing I did notice immediately was that I'm no longer getting a forced close after searching for a contact in my phone and then tapping on their selection for more info. Now it goes right into their contact page... nice!

Not sure how long you've had the Rez. They should push it to your phone OTA, automatically, soon. If you want to check for it manually. Go to settings> (scroll down to) software update. If it's available, this is where you'll download it, if you haven't had it pushed already. If the status is not the current version 2.01.605,blah.blah.blah... you need to check for the update.

Thanks! I got my Rezound a few hours ago (I exchanged the Gnex for it - horrible reception, that one). I did check for an update before I posted my question about it here - and it said no new updates. Soon as I hit "Submit" on this thread....I got the OTA notification. :p

It's now downloading. However, I had the 5 bar display already that everyone is raving about with the new update. Strange, huh?

Funny thing is that after I hit submit, I went to the next thread where you posted a few mins. later about the update situation. Can't say I've read about a similiar occurence, in any other forum. So that is pretty odd that you had 5 bars before hand. I wish you could of taken a screenshot before you updated. BTW, congrats on the Rez., I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the radios thet slapped in the Rez. My bro has a GN and I get much better connectivity over LTE than he does. So I'm glad I chose to keep the Rez, when the GN was released by Big Red. I looked forward to that phone for 6 months, so I was a bit let down when it arrrived.

Aw, too bad...yea, I didn't get a screen capture before the update. It's now fully updated, and I'm not sure what the update did because as far as I can tell, everything looks the same to me (since I already had the 5-bar display beforehand).

I was in Vegas when I updated on Friday. I noticed my time was off by about 40 minutes on Saturday morning. A reboot corrected itm But then a few hours later at Mccairn, the time was off by an hour - (that could have been a big issue since I was there to catch a flight)

Ti?me seems fine since I got back to the East coast at about midnight last night (eastern time)

Hopefully Verizon will figure it out and fix the issue for Vegas...
