What is the status of your Droid X order

Because I don't quite qualify if I do it online. It's sort of complicated. It still shows my secondary line as being eligible in October 2010. The caveat is that I called one day and I caught some sort of magical, private promotion that they had where I CAN upgrade, but only through that call center. But I'm gonna call midnight anyway and see if I can reach someone. If so, I'll ask if they can see all that stuff on my notes.

I have this exact same magical promotion on my line as well, so I'll be calling them when I wake up tomorrow. At least this way I know I won't stay up all night F5'ing their website!
 
They told me that that number is for upgrades only and that I would have to call CSR because I wanted to pay full boat!
 
Droid X ordered through telesales

I just got a phone call from VZW Sales, in response to an email I sent customer service Monday night. I should have been eligible for annual upgrade 7/12 but my account wasn't reflecting that, so I emailed them saying I was interested in the Droid X using the annual upgrade. I had gotten worried since I hadn't received a response in almost 48 hours (last issue I had was replied to in less than 12), and was about to just call VZW customer support (last resort), when I received the call.

The guy was very friendly and said it would be no problem using the early upgrade option, but was wanting to charge extra for next day delivery. He waived the extra charge when I told him I would just as soon order online. As others have mentioned, he won't be able to actually place the order until in the morning, which has me slightly concerned, but he didn't act like it would be an issue. He is going to call me first thing in the morning to confirm the order. I am thinking that ordering through VZW telesales for future purchases might be the way to go. I'm sure they are paid based partially on commission and are more willing/able to accommodate.
 
I called the Sales group and was told they wouldn't be able to take any orders for the Droid X until 8:00AM EST tomorrow, 07/15. I hung up and called the Customer Service number and reached a very helpful rep. She took down all of my information and promised to process the order first thing tomorrow, at which time she would call or text me with an order number and confirmation. I'm a little nervous that the order won't get it in time, but she did assure me that they have plenty of stock and don't foresee having any issues filling orders tomorrow. She gave me a spiel about how the only stocking problems they've had are on the incredible and that's due to the screen issues. Hopefully this proves to be true and the phone ships out as planned tomorrow.

She also indicated that it wasn't a problem taking advantage of the "early upgrade promotion" while signing up for a one-year contract, which was good news. I was under the impression that one had to re-up for two years in order to do so.
 
well, i guess 3am EST is what we're waiting for...ill be up at 5am to open my store at 7...ill order then
 
If I remember correctly, when I pre-ordered my droid inc, it took about 15 min after midnight to be available on the vz website. Patience?!
