If I remember correctly all I did was swipe up and exit out the Samsung pay app and it went away.

Lol, there was a time when I couldn't get it to show and I was pissed!

All you have to do is close Samsung Pay and not set it up and it'll go away.

In the settings in Samsung Pay it allows you to chose if it's visible on the homescreen. It gives you three choices. Homescreen, Lockscreen, and screen off. You can chose whether or not you want the quick tab to pay quicker if you use the service. As much as I love Samsung Pay, I have all three disabled and open the app when I use it because I don't find it adds any value to me and I'm constantly triggering it open otherwise.

Could you point me to where these settings are? I don't want it to be activated with screen off but I've never been able to find a setting for that. Just looked again after your post and don't find anything. Strange!

Actually found it now. It was under 'Use favourite cards'. Very useful, thanks for the tip!

I set mine to only be active on the lock screen.

This allows me to use the mobile payment system without unlocking the phone and also is not in the way when the phone is unlocked.
