What is Your Biggest Reason for Wanting a Motorola X?

There are a lot of reasons for wanting a Motorola X. It defines the high end of the market. But there is another reason that many reviewer's are not remembering:

Coverage

Verizon really does have by far the best national coverage. Who cares how great your phone is if it is just a paper weight. Every time we go somewhere with poor cell coverage, we know to ask the guys with Verizon and they always seem to have full bars.

Always. In a meeting room deep in a building. On a canoe trip. Always.

I knew that Verizon had a huge lead over everyone else but it was only when I put the free Sensorly app on my phone that I saw how huge the difference is. It let's you zoom in on your area and click between Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and other coverage maps. Show your iPhone friends why they can't make a call.

In my area it is obvious why my Sprint service is so bad.

So as much as I love my EVO, I am envious of your coverage. Because at the end of the day, it's a phone. And a phone is only as good as the service.

Yep, coverage is the reason I have stayed with Verizon for 8+ years!!!
I had T-mobile when I first got a cell phone but my hubby(he was not my hubby at the time), worked for a place that sold Cell phones and delt with I think 3 of the 4 big providers and he got Verizon!! When we moved in together I asked him what he thought about getting a family plan and through which company! He told me Verizon! We have never looked back!

Reasons:

1) Verizon - sorry but AT&T just sucks
2) Motorola - I just think they make first class hardware
3) Size - I think this just may be the perfect size (we'll see when new devices arrive)
4) Camera/Video - everything is just a click away
5) Android - the momentum is behind Android

And in the grand scheme of things, I want is because I want it... Moto X

Oh God, this list could be long... Sorry if you feel like I'm a spammer... I guess Cory can always "Spam Hammer" me... Anyways...

1.) Time for a new phone, my curve is seeing the end of its days...
2.) Android OS is great, its kind of funny, my fathers has a Droid 1 and I know more about it than him.
3.) Replacing my iPod Shuffle, yeah I'll still use my shuffle for some things.
4.) Motorola is top of the line is phones... Razor, and Q were both great phones.
5.) Verizon's coverage is much better than T-Mobile and AT&T... Yes I'm on my dads plan, but the once I leave his plan I'm sticking with Verizon.
6.) The camera seems to be decent enough to record all my shooting and such...
7.) GPS for Geocaching man!

Lol, MolecularGraph

I always say "pick your carrier first, then pick your phone second". Actually I stole that line from Dieter Bohn, but I digress.

1.) Email & texting
2.) Web browsing
3.) Media
4.) GPS/Google Maps
5.) Because I'm a smartphone junkie and I always have to have the latest.

There's actually tons of other reasons too, but those are the main ones.

I am coming from a Droid, so there aren't many huge factors. I am planning on getting it mainly because of the 1ghz processor and the enormous screen. Then in the fall when the next super Droid comes out, I'll probably buy that, too lol

I want this because I know it will be everything that I hoped the BlackBerry Storm was supposed to be and more.

#1) Carrier signal
#2) Screen size
#3) Droid OS; incudludes stability, flexibility, customability and integration with Google.
#4) Durability of Morotola units.
#5).....it's sexy. :p

Because, like most of us in here, I'm a cell phone addict. I can't stand to see someone else having a phone that "does more" than mine.

And, not only do I want the best...but my patience for it is horrible.

If I were a superhero - I'd be Instant Gratification Woman.

Yes...it's THAT bad.

(my first post)

1) cause I still have a razr, its been good for many years
2) verizon coverage
3) imma pc, not a mac
4) broke my mp3 player
5) I need a gps
6) I want to take a book with me everywhere

I am amazed at how many devices a good phone can replace.

1) Day 1 Storm owner who is fed up with the lack of support it received by Verizon and RIM
2) Can't stand the constant memory leaks, random freezing of the screen, and the horrid "App World"
3) Love the idea of Android's "open" platform
4) Love the massive screen
5) Gives me a valid reason to torch and than piss on the ashes of my original Storm.

I'm always interested in getting the best phone available on verizon and I have my annual upgrade credit available.

Three reasons for me

1 - For me, I love the customizations Moto has done. Resizing widgets, being able to select what contact options are displayed per contact in 1x1, 2 or 3 configs. Being able to filter in the social widget which updates I receive from FB and Twitter etc IMO make this a generational improvement over what you can do in Sense. I'm moving from an iPhone to droid for the sole reason that I want to control my phone! And from every review, preview and hands on The X gives you much more control then the other comparable droid HW available.

2- I love the design of the new phone. To me it looks like a next gen phone. The evo looks and feels a little to thick to me. The X just feels sexier in my hand.

3 - The benchmark scores are significantly better then the other droid phones. And if I have come to like one thing about the iPhone is that it is snappy. More horsepower means more snappy. The X having better benchmarks also bodes well for it performing better and being more responsive when doing more multitasking and things like that.

My first smartphone was a Storm 1, and then I advanced to a Storm 2. However, I've been getting frustrated with the poor performance of the recent OS upgrades. A lot of promises are being made by RIM, but they're slow to produce. A lot of websites I frequently offer never developed apps for the BB, but they've moved to the Android market. For these reason I started to look outside BB. I also considered:

1. Large Screen...a must after having the storm.
2. Speed
3. Camera and HD Video
4. GPS

There are really to many reasons to list, but these are very important to me.
