What is zvd / zvj?

... I decided to not upgrade to a 32GB (cause that would be nearly full if I get it :p) , but instead save up the ~$100 for a 64GB class10 sdcard. The only reason why I plan on getting that large of a card, is cause it would be ~48GB full when I get it(I'm quite the music fanatic+I download a LOT of phone related stuff, and do most of my development from my phone, instead of a computer).
And a 64GB sdcard suits my needs well, with enough space left over to nit worry about clearing out old nandroids, roms, and other downloads.
(And, I'm going to partition 4GB for my ext, just cause I can :p)

I'm a cheapo too, my 16GB SD card was a hand me down :p
Its going to take me sometime to save up for that 64GB card.
My 16GB is also a class 4 with a 1GB partition.
and whenever I do get that 64GB card, I'll have my mini Bluetooth keyboard also, so I'll start using my phone more and more like a mini computer/tablet(I'm also going to run a basic form of Linux off my SD card, this IS possible, I've experimented with it a couple times in the past, its just REALLY slow on a class 4)

I'm totally amazed and impressed by your awesome plans! However, are you sure that the OV can handle a 64GB uSDcard? According to the LG spec, max is 32GB:

Hopefully, it's incorrect...

Unless our OVs are designed for the SDXC standard, 32GB may indeed be the max:

There's been reports of 64GB microSDXC cards working on the LG Optimus One, Galaxy S2 the sensation, ZTE Blade, and galaxy note, along with several other phones that only OFFICIALLY support up to 32GB.

You just need to reformat the 64GB microSDXC card to fat32, or ext4.

This is good to know... I was just searching for info on this possibility, and you provided the answer. I imagine that the kernel needs changing too to be able to r/w to the SDXC format?

Yea, kernels can be edited to support the native SDXC format, but for now, fat32 is the only known workable format for all kernels. Some support NTFS. The ONLY issue with fat32, is it can't read files over the size of 4GB, which shouldn't be an issue, unless you are trying to watch a full uncompressed HD movie, which is illogical on the Optimus V anyway.

Just because something officially supports one thing, does not mean that greater things won't function properly.
LG Optimus V only OFFICIALLY supports up to android 2.2.2, yet, we can run android 4.1.x, and most likely will continue to be able to run future builds, as long as we have great devs.

And when the next size in microSD cards come out(128GB-180GB+), they will most likely be able to work on the V as well, as long as they are formatted to fat32.

If there is ever a 2TB microSD, you can expect me saving up to purchase one, and using it with my Optimus V, even though that would be the MOST ridiculous thing ever. xD
