S5, had a Note 3 prior to the S5 and just missed the screen size and stylus.

I would have kept S3 but its been draining charge like crazy despite replacing the battery. Plus the charging port is finicky. If I had an alternate phone, I'd see if it would do better with wireless charging. Anyway, I'm looking fwd to the fabulosity of the Note 4

Iphone 5

Had horrible luck with my iphone been with apple iphone for 6 years maybe a little more. Was looking at the 6+ but thought it wouldnt be fair not to consider the note 4 since the release was only a few weeks later. Needless to say picking up the note 4 tomorrow and i am super excited first post here and im sure ill be around more often. Did i say i was excited?

Same here! When I picked up the iPhone 6, I FINALLY felt like I was picking up a bigger iPhone 2G. After 4 iPhones, I finally realize that I've been chasing the same damn phone. Time for something more powerful!

I've had 3 iPhones: 3G, 4, and 5. Jumping ship and I'm so EXCITED to get my N4!! I'm just annoyed I have to wait a WHOLE WEEK because I"m on Verizon. :-$

We are jumping from ATT to Verizon on a Family Plan and one family member is getting the iPhone 6+, so Verizon will not ship our Notes out until the 6 will ship out which in NOVEMBER 7th. So, pissed! Oh well, gives me time to get cases, extra battery and decide on an SD Card.

The G3. I love the G3 but I've missed the galaxy series. I started with Samsung with the S3, S4, S5, then to the G3 and then back to the S5, back to the G3, and now the Note 4. Feels good to be home.

So many of us have given Apple a shot by waiting for the 6 and 6+ but what a disappointment. More disappointed in them than I was in the generations between my i4 and these. Samsung'a actions combined with Apples direction as a company just about made this decision for an N4 for me. But as I have said before, I do think Apple is in a tough spot and the very idea of a real phablet exerts particular kinds of pressure on Apple. IMO, Apple would be much happier if Smartphones offered the most functionality you could expect from a device that you could pocket at all with phablets not in existence as anything more than a dream.

YEP! Same here... 6 years of iPhones and I realize I'm just buying the same phone over and over. Can't wait for my Note!

I'm ditching the iPhone 5. If the iPhone 6 had been amazing I might have stayed with Apple. I just think the iPhone 6 is way to expensive for what you get. I think the the Note is way ahead of the iphone. The only thing I'll miss is iMessage.

/\ This! I was torn between going to a Note again (I've switched before for the Note 3, until I broke it when I attempted to root it) or getting the 6+. I'm just sick of Apple phones I guess (I still love my iMac due to photo editing etc).

S3, because my wife dropped hers, it got ran over, then we got a replacement through insurance... and a few days after I decided to use it as mine in place of my Optimus G, I gave my Optimus G to my mother-in-law and dropped the S3 cracking the screen from the bottom to the middle right side.

Plan was to get an S5 a month or two after getting my wife one, but I like having the most powerful device I can get, and I like gaming on my phone a lot, so I figured this was the best bet for me.

Now I just hope they update to Lollipop right away.

I love my android phones but you guys can't ignore that apple makes phones that appeal to a ton of people. Apple isn't in any kind of trouble. Unless it's what do we do with all this money kinda trouble.

S5.. love the phone but I had the note 2 and 3 and miss it horribly ... the S5 is great... but the Note is waaayyy better... cant wait.. counting the sleeps... 18 October for South Africa .. although some Vodacom shops and the one Samsung shop think they might have it sooner... can only cross fingers and hope.... bring it already !?!?!?!

I'm also from South Africa. I'm looking at the S5 or the Note 4. I've tried the S5 out a couple of times at Samsung stores. I usually buy my phones off contract. The S5 is about R10000 now and I think the Note 4 will be R12000 so its quite pricey. How has your experience with the S5 been?
