What phone are you going from to the G4?

I have an s6 edge and will probably get a g4 to see how it is. Camera is the most important factor, not just quality, but ease of usage and ease of opening. The double click to open on the s6 is a very nice feature

Re: What phone as you going from to the G4?

IPhone 6 isn't powering QHD or an eight core processor. This helps use less battery.

That's really not a good argument

If you're gonna have a QHD screen then implement it properly and maintain GOOD battery life. If you're gonna have 8 cores, implement it properly. Nobody cares why a battery doesn't perform. It needs to do it's job regardless, no matter the specs. That's an obvious constraint the engineers should work with.

Re: What phone as you going from to the G4?

ill be looking to buy a new phone in july. ill be watching the g4 closely. i want to see how it performs and how the dev scene is first. my nexus 5 will hold me over until then. besides if the rumor is true of an updated nexus 5 from lg ill wait for that.

64GB S6 edge.

I can praise this phone all I want but like all my previous toys regardless of how much I love it I will sell it and upgrade.

Thats because you have 'UPGRADITIS'. So glad I don't suffer from that....lol :p

I'll be coming from a G3. I'm hoping the batteries are the same as I have extras.

As do I but unfortunately the G3 batteries have feet that get in the way. :(

Android Central podcast discusses the camera: https://youtu.be/gaIWr6TKx6g?t=1061

They say that the camera is at least as good as the S6 camera. Seems like they don't want to make a call and say one is better than the other, but they also mention that the settings are much better on the G4. Thinks like shutter speed and raw imaging and all sorts of stuff.

They all seem to be really impressed with the G4 overall.

Also mention that the battery life is very good. No battery drain issues and battery holds up well despite the 1440p 5.5" screen. They hint at it having better battery life than the S6.

Coming from a GS3, the phone is barely hanging in there, I need some "feet on the ground" reviews so I can choose between the GS6 and G4. Just hoping the GS3 hangs in there for a bit longer. I keep my phones for a while since I consider changing then a PIA so this decision needs to be a good one.
