What phone are you switching from to the Pixel 2?

I currently switch between an iPhone 8+ and this Pixel XL. I'm trading in this XL for the 2 XL in black, 64gb. Should get it around Oct. 19ish. Looking forward to it. I'll wait and get the iPhone XS (or whatever it's called) next year. 😁

Had note 3 i broke the screen about a year in.. then got a used nexus 6.. got the pixel xl from work.. Verizon and depixled it.. but earpiece speaker blew.. sent it to google they sent me back a Verizon version and i couldnt unlock bootloader.. so sold it.. went back to nexus 6... Love this phone . But new pixel has front facing speakers.. so making the jump to black 128gb

Htc u11 here. Im tired of htc's bs customer service. I had to wait 5 months to get a replacement on my previous htc 10's screen that had uh oh protection. Was going to go for the v30 first but played with it in the store today and that selfie camera is horrible! Plus i heard lg is horrible at updates.

I'll be switching from my Moto Z force for the pixel. My wife and I are going to invest in the Google ecosystem of devices so the pixel is the only logical decision. We were going to go with Samsung, but the pixel swayed us.

iPhone 8 lol

But not really switching. I still rotate between LG G6, Google Pixel and iPhone 8. I should probably start selling some of these though.

I've learned I much prefer the smaller form factor phones. So I doubt I'll be buying a large screen phone again. Just too cumbersome for me and my occupation.

well I have a v20 and its a great phone love that I can just swap the battery so upset they went no. removable batteries first HTC then Sammy now LG ugh there forgetting about the people who rely on there phone for work. so a maon reason I'm am switching is because of the screen I was getting tons of ghosting in my phone even after a 2 min video so had AT&T swap it out and really dont want to deal with it again. then I was going to go the v30 but then heard about pixel with nearly identical specs so here I be.

iphone 4S.

Welcome to Android Central. I have a friend who upgraded from a 4S a couple months ago to an iphone 7.

Prepare to be blown away by the screen, speed and connectivity to your carrier. :D

Edit: Feel free to get advice on your new toy, there are a ton of very helpful people around here!

iPhone 7+. My last Android was the Nexus 5. I miss the Google Ecosystem and don't like the direction Apple is heading. Spent 5 min showing us the **** emoji and how you could match it to your face. No thanks. Really interested in being on a phone that is including better software and more AI.

Thanks! I'm so excited. My iPhone has been so bad (glitchy and problems with battery life) for the last year or two, so I am more than ready for an upgrade!

I wanted to love the Essential but switched back to my Pixel XL for a vacation and see no reason to use anything else. Can’t wait for the second gen to land in the postbox.

I'll be switching from my first and only Apple phone, the iPhone 6 Plus. Went there for the stability and regular updates, but coming back to Android as I feel it's finally catching up and I'm impressed with where Google is going with the Pixel's. The iPhone X just didn't impress me enough, and I also wanted a new phone this year (the 6 Plus the battery is wearing out and the charge port doesn't hold a connection very well anymore).

I had the Nexus 6P with the battery dropping issue and was one of the lucky ones in the window where Google was replacing them with the Pixel XL. I only got this one a month ago and have been loving it but the idea of doubling from 32GB to 64GB, in addition to 3 years of updates and bigger battery were the pros. Add in that they were giving me $400 for a phone they gave me for free a month ago and seemed like a no-brainer. Was a bit worried about the size because the Pixel XL was just about the perfect size for me whereas the 6P was a bit too big for my liking. But I ordered a cheap 2XL case off Amazon that came today and when I compare it to the Pixel XL, I was surprised how little difference in size there was.

upgrading from the galaxy S6. Prefer the size of the pixel 2 to the XL just annoyed that my 2.5yr old S6 had a better screen than the Pix2.

Pixel XL -> XL 2. Verizon gave me $300 trade in for my Z Force. So now XL will be my backup and XL2 daily driver.

Plan to upgrade to a Pixel 2 XL from a DROID Turbo. Amazing how great this Turbo is. Still runs smooth and no issues. Only reason for upgrading is the already amazing and massive battery has started to degrade to the point where it is necessary for me to get into a new phone and 2XL is the one. Also, my phone feels ancient without a fingerprint scanner.

Love bone stock Android, timely updates, and potential for Project Fi.
