What phone are you switching from to the Pixel 2?

Note8, nothing wrong with it at all. Its probably the best phone out right now. But I want the latest Android versions, who knows when Note8 will get Oreo.

100% agree, Note 8 is awesome but not for me. I like updates being on time and security.

Switching from the Pixel 2 XL in Just Black to Pixel 2 XL Panda/Stormtrooper/Oreo/Husky model.

Agree Note 8 is one of the best Android devices out right now, easily in the top 5 by just about any ranking I can think of. Great display, great pen, lots of RAM, lots to love. Only things I don't like about it, software, edge display, glass back, not enough storage options. Very cool phone.

Yeah the software is sometimes a bit to contend with. I thought I would love the edge display but it's losing its novelty for me. I like the glass back and love the design of the phone minus the FP scanner placement. Storage doesn't matter to me much for this phone because of the SD slot but I do wish it had a 128gb option as the SD card slot isn't that great for 4k video recording.

I wish I was but I can’t carry an iPhone and a Pixel that’s just stupid. So I’ll just watch you all in envy and day dream about some of the good things about having Android.

S6 edge... I grown annoying tired of being UNABLE to hold my phone like a normal person without accidentally closing, typing, or initiating something. The edge was cool at first but it cause too many accidental interruptions when I hold it. Plus I need a BIGGER phone.

Galaxy S7

Looking forward to going back to stock Android with smooth performance/fast updates/no duplicate apps, stereo front facing speakers and the new camera which looks to be a noticeable step up from the already great Galaxy S7 camera.

Neither of you should feel bad, I got my Note8 last week, already dropping it. Can't stand the Samsung lag and need the polish of stock Android. Also, being a formal iPhoney I need those updates on time. Drives me crazy waiting 5-12 months for a minimal update or security patch.

You ditched apple again? I am not a fan of the new phones from Apple and I am tired of how far behind they continue to be even with the launch of the X. The horns are painful to look at, no touch id...and a hefty price tag. I just got so settled with ios again, but the more I think about it there is such a better bang for your buck for the specs and display with android devices.

Right.

When Google debuts new features in new Android versions, I like knowing that I'll be getting those things and I'll be getting them promptly.

I do not like wondering whether I'll get the new version of Android and, even if I do, whether the version modified for my phone will include the new features.

coming from and S8 Plus I miss my pixel XL so much that I'm getting the pixel 2 XL 64GB black nothing runs as smooth as a pixel phone my S8 plus is too laggy at times and it freezes up when trying to multitask

iPhone X „behind“ because of having a better screen to body ratio than Pixel 2 and FaceID. LMAO!

I'll be switching from my first and only Apple phone, the iPhone 6 Plus. Went there for the stability and regular updates, but coming back to Android as I feel it's finally catching up and I'm impressed with where Google is going with the Pixel's. The iPhone X just didn't impress me enough, and I also wanted a new phone this year (the 6 Plus the battery is wearing out and the charge port doesn't hold a connection very well anymore).

Welcome back to Android perfect phone to switch back to

Yeah they have kept the same design of the iPhone 8 since the iPhone 6...it’s getting old already. There are some people who can’t afford the X and also want Touch ID

When I login into an app, I don't want to use my face. That's retarded, especially if you are just checking an account or something.

Face ID isn't anything new. Same technology we use on insurgents but on a lesser scale. Just imagine someone getting hit by a car because they are trying to unlock a phone. The movie Idiocracy is upon us folks. How did we get here? Don't get me started on Tesla either.

Do you even think before you write? How can a fingerprint sensor avoid an accident when you need to look at the screen anyway to use the phone? And what’s that nonsense about a technology used on insurgents??
