What phone are you switching from to the Pixel 2?

Upgrading from a Nexus 4 bought at launch. I'm so excited, last night I actually dreamt I had my Kinda Blue Pixel 2 in-hand.

Nexus 6 to XL. I've been with this beast since release, but it's time to finally move on.

Finally retiring the Note 5. It was pretty much issue free right until my EIP ended, ironically enough. Now issues are starting to creep in. It's time... Google can't ship this fast enough!

Plan to upgrade to a Pixel 2 XL from a DROID Turbo. Amazing how great this Turbo is. Still runs smooth and no issues. Only reason for upgrading is the already amazing and massive battery has started to degrade to the point where it is necessary for me to get into a new phone and 2XL is the one. Also, my phone feels ancient without a fingerprint scanner.

Love bone stock Android, timely updates, and potential for Project Fi.

Should be quite the upgrade for you. My daughter has the Turbo. i know my Pixel XL is quite an upgrade from it, the 2 XL should really be a great improvement. Good luck with it.

I'm upgrading from my Nexus 6p I will miss this phone but it's time for a new phone no better choice than a pixel

I buy a new phone every year. Last year I bought myself a Pixel XL at launch and then got my daughter the smaller Pixel. She has since moved on to an iPhone. I ordered both the Pixel 2 XL and the Pixel 2. I'll trade in the two Pixels I currently have and basically get the Pixel 2 for free plus two free home minis.

I had the Nexus 6P with the battery dropping issue and was one of the lucky ones in the window where Google was replacing them with the Pixel XL. I only got this one a month ago and have been loving it but the idea of doubling from 32GB to 64GB, in addition to 3 years of updates and bigger battery were the pros. Add in that they were giving me $400 for a phone they gave me for free a month ago and seemed like a no-brainer. Was a bit worried about the size because the Pixel XL was just about the perfect size for me whereas the 6P was a bit too big for my liking. But I ordered a cheap 2XL case off Amazon that came today and when I compare it to the Pixel XL, I was surprised how little difference in size there was.

I, too, am coming off a Nexus 6P, though I missed that window of swapping 6P's for Pixels.

I do have the battery drain issue at around 15% and my headphone jack hasn't been working for over a year, but I've gotten used to both problems. I just make sure my phone never gets that low and I've been using BT earbuds for a long time. So the lack of headphone jack in the Pixel doesn't bother me too much (though I would've still preferred if it had one).

The occasional sluggishness is what bothers me the most, despite resetting my phone after Oreo came out. I'm looking forward to the buttery smooth performance of the Pixel.

Battery life isn't what it used to be. The phone has always been a battery hog, but a full charge simply isn't lasting as long as it used to. It is, afterall, a 3 year old battery, so I am not surprised.

The phone now gets noticeably hot from just mild use. What was once warm during use, has now risen to hot. So much so that I have to position my hand in such a way as to hold the phone comfortably.

Small bits of lag have started to creep in. It's running a clean, stock build, Nova Launcher, and a handful of apps. What once ran exceptionally smooth has the occasional hiccup here and there. Perhaps it's the code in the latest builds, perhaps it's something else, I do not know, but a factory reset doesn't solve it.

Lastly, there is just the want to have something new to play with.

switching from a V10 to black xl , unless the mate 10 is very impressive then i may cancel the pixel

I'll be going from a Pixel XL to a Pixel 2 XL.

I love my current phone (except for the white face which I despise) but have made a habit of moving up to each new Google phone since the Nexus 4 and see no reason to not do so again. Of the entire lot, the only one I was really unhappy with was the Nexus 6 (not the 6P, which I also liked very much). The 6 just never felt right in my hand.

Nexus 6p. Only had it for a year after my Nexus 5x got run over (doh ! :( ) but couldn't face missing out on the software updates.

Was gonna upgrade to the original Pixel last year but was put off by the price so got the 6p but decided to bite the bullet this time.

Note8, nothing wrong with it at all. Its probably the best phone out right now. But I want the latest Android versions, who knows when Note8 will get Oreo.
