What Replacement Phone Have You Decided On?

Well. I went to iPhone 7+ 256GB since my 6+ battery life was amazing.

This one is actually better. I've had it now for 4 days. Battery is the best I've had on any device bar none.

I miss my Note 7 though. I just loved it. So disappointed.

SOT is almost 6 hours with 30% left and total use time currently at close to 13 hours. I mean, wow. Don't have to change much at all. I have all my notification set up and didn't have to gimp the phone to make it give me this life.

N7 screen is much nicer for me. So there's something to be said for that.

Oh well. I'll wait until next version next Spring and see what's up.

I got the iPhone 7 Plus. There is no current smartphone on the market that has the specs I wanted. The S7/S7 edge is going to be replaced in four months. The Pixel XL doesn't wow me at all, except for the camera. The Note5 is old. The only logical choice after that, for me, was the iPhone 7 Plus.

Went with the S7 Edge. Could have gone back to my Note 3 too but it hasn't been quite as reliable; resets about once a week and the GPS is not reliable on mine anymore (might be fine on others). I also really have gotten to like the Edge screen too. I felt the S7E was the next closest thing. Nothing is going to the be quite the same without the S-Pen but I have accepted that.

My Axon 7 will be here on Tuesday. $399 no tax free shipping from NewEgg

I got mine at Best Buy for $360 + tax...they have the phone for $399 and 10% off if you used a Best Buy credit card...Loving the phone but the low light pics are the only knock on this camera, especially if you have used the cameras on the N7, S7 Edge+, etc....

The speakers are definitely an upgrade over any Samsung phone though...the display is very good...the UI takes some getting used too (even though I put the Apex launcher on it)....overall I am liking the phone alot, especially when I know that I don't have a next payment for now :)

Zenfone 3 is on order but seriously considering Axon 7 since it suppports Verizon and I can use one phone for both work and personal. (Tmobile and Verizon)

I went with the S7 Active myself. I miss the bigger screen for sure, but wanted the bigger battery and durability.

I went to 3 different phone carrier stores yesterday in hopes of checking out the upcoming Pixel XL and LG V20, but no one has any demo units yet (even though pre-orders have begun on both on various carriers).
I handled the S7 Edge, but for some reason I wasn’t totally enamored with it.
Does anyone know if the V20’s main 16mp camera is the same as what’s on the V10 and G5? If so, every comparison I’ve seen shows it not as good as the S7 and that would turn me off from that phone. Pre-production reviews don’t show it comparing well to the S7 as well.
I had been leaning towards that one, but now I might be back at square one. S7 Edge may be the only choice right now to keep the features I want, but in a phone smaller than I’d like and with less internal memory than I need.
And can you confirm that on Verizon, if I do a new lease for any of these new phones, I can get out of it after the phone is 50% paid/1 year and move the lease plan to a new phone (ideally the Note 8 or whatever they decide to call it)? I refuse to get stuck for 2 years for a phone I do not want…

I wanted the V20 but didn't want to preorder again remember we all swore off preorder with the hole N7 mess.
unless its a public tested phone I will not purchase.

I went back to my "old" Note 5. Just love the S Pen. Really hated shutting down the Note 7 though. And now what do I do with it?

I have been using my Note Edge, I am waiting for a Note 5 I bought on the -Bay (I have an S7E and it's a great phone but I really use the s-pen daily) I really feel that while the N5 is last gen and may not have the specs of the S7 devices it will likely be the hold over device for many who had the N7
**One thing I have found that's interesting, there have been a bunch of device/app updates that seem to be adding functionality, I'm very happy to see this (with the AOD update my S7E got it looks allot like the N7) I wish they would add AOD to the N5. I know there are several of 3rd part apps that kind of add this but I have not had good results with them so far, I will continue to test once I get my N5 (The Note Edge may not bee the best test platform)

Cheers,
BR
RIP N7

I have a V20 on preorder with a delivery date between next Monday and next Thursday 😊

I'm so hard headed haaaaa ?!? You'd think I'd learnt my lesson from the Note debacle ahem ahem ??

Note 5 model SM-920G. Got a good price from BestBuy and went for it. Excellent choice which can even be made better once the note 7 UX is ported this week. Samsung should provide all Note 5 owners with note 7 features since none of us care much about the GE7.

Yes...which is exactly why my S7 Edge N7 replacement is getting returned for an LG V20.
