What Rom For First Time Flasher?

I ve had my Evo rooted for a bit now and want to try a rom out.
Used rom manager to make a backup of my current stock phone and saved it to my pc.

I would like to try cleanrom for my first go but i have a question b4 I take the plunge, being Canadian and having Rogers as my carrier, will Sprint based rom such as Cleanrom work?
Apologies if this has been asked b4 , I just want to be clear on the subject.

Unfortunately CleanROM will most likely not work for GSM phones. I would recommend doing a Google search on ROMs that will work for EVO 3D GSM. Good luck Also, please post results as that may help someone who is in your shoes right now.

Yes it has everything that the stock rom would have! Just bloatware free.

I think it is removed because Google Nav is included. But honestly I don't remember.

You could always extract it from another rom! Look over at xda, they would have more choices of roms.

Or use Titanium Backup to make a backup of it prior to flashing your new ROM. Then restore it after the successful flash.

read over 200 papges last night and will finish the thread tonight. Rom looks stable and decently fast.

Do I need to flash the kernal? If its optional what benefit does kernal flashing bring to the table?

Flashed Leedroid
Very smooth process, no issues so far.
Wifi is working, my only bug is the settings icon brings up the web browser


left the stock kernal, waiting for information on flashing it.
