What screen protector will you be using?

I got some cheap TPU off Amazon. Can't even remember the brand name now. I've got them already, but haven't opened the package yet. I only use them for the micro scratches that inevitably end up on my screen.

I stopped at Costco today and played with the display model S22 Ultra. While I was there, I talked to the guy working on the phone department. He said that Costco has a 3D printer that makes glass screen protectors for phones. They cost $25, have a lifetime warranty and work well with FPS. I'll go to Costco when my phone arrives and have the Costco screen protector installed.

Interesting. I wasn't aware they did anything like that. Now I wish I had a Costco near me.

I used a Whitestone Dome on my S10+ and my Note 20 Ultra and both times it was almost impossible to get it off. Seriously, I literally had to use a razor blade for an hour and it came off in tiny shards and glass dust. I have never heard anyone else ever say this happened to them so I don't know why I'm so lucky, but there is no way I'm ever using one again. I wish I had taken a video of me removing them because nobody believes me. And my FPS never worked very well with it on either. I don't think I'm going to use anything on the screen, actually. I bought the Samsung S-View which mostly covers the screen, and for other times that I need something slimmer like when I am running I also bought a Spigen Liquid Crystal.

hmm....I guess I wish I had thought of that! I just don't think I am willing to try it again though. My FPS was horrible with it, and I did all the things they said to do in the video. It looked flawless on the phone but I had to lick my thumb every time.

Thank You for letting us know! I was there yesterday & just breezed by the phone department. The employee must have been on break, just a lonely jacket hanging on a chair.

I'll have to swing back in & check it out.

I called my local Costco just now and the guy said the process doesn't exactly use a 3D printer but some other technology (I didn't get the name). He said that their protector is thinner than a glass protector and doesn't have an air layer underneath and that's why it works so well with the FPS. They can be cut edge to edge or case friendly. I wasn't going to use a screen protector but this sounds like an excellent option and I'll be visiting Costco next Wed., assuming the phone arrives on Tue. Thanks so much for posting this.

For anyone wondering about the Samsung SPs - I would think that the factory installed protectors (to the extent there are any in the US, which I don't think so anyway) would go the way of the do-do when they are selling their own now. I would have liked to see how they install one on the S22 Ultra.
