What should i do to stop my phone over heating?

I use my Samsung S6 all of the time and it charges really quickly and last night it was charging and heated up alot. Ive never thought anything from it cause its always so hot. But then my phone vibrated and also made a funny noise which is hard to explain. Ive been worried since and have no clue what to do.. any suggestions??

Hi

Try going in to safe mode and try charging....see if it still gets hot. You can also enter recovery mode (do this first) and clear the cache partition. No data loss will occur.
Galaxy S6 Recovery Mode
Power Down the Galaxy S6
Press and Hold the Power Button, Volume Up Button and the Home Buttons at the Same Time
Continue Holding These Buttons Until You See Some Blue Text at the Top
When You See the ‘Recovery Booting….” Text, Then Let Go of These Buttons
Wait Until the Galaxy S6 Fully Boots into the Recovery Mode

Once in recovery, use the vol down to scroll to Wipe Cache Partition. Then use sleep/wake button to select it, then choose reboot.
