What To Do After Flashing A New Rom(Maybe Liberty)

Another thing you mat wanna do is invest in a spare battery. You'll be playing with your phone so much more that it'll suck the battery dry in a few hours lol.

Has anyone else had problems with the battery on Liberty? It's been decent for me, but when I check usage percentage I notice the System using alot more than it used to. I love the ROM anyways, it's really just a comment.

I havent taken the leap yet because i do use some blur like the alarm clock and both docks as well as the Android Power Control Widget. What needs to be done to get those back after flashing?

The Power Control widget is built-in to Android, so it will still be there. There is also a Car Dock that's very close to the Blur version built-in as well. Blur Alarm Clock and some of the better Blur apps, are available in the tool box. See screen shot below.

by wiping DATA, do you loose all your Emails and TXT messeges. If so, can I get them back

emails will still be on server, texts will be gone unless you back them up with titanium back up i think.

Ok one last question then Im flashing. Can someone give me SIMPLE step by step instructions to go back to stock using the nandroid backup of stock I made using Bootstrapper? I see on my SD card the Clockworkmod folder. Inside that is a folder that says Backup and a file called .settings. Inside the Backup folder is another folder with the date of the Backup I made. Inside that folder is the following
.android_secure
cache
data
nandroid
system

So Im ready to go if i could just find step by step in simple English how to go back to Stock using my Nandroid backup. Much appreciated and sorry I just really dont want an expensive 4.3inch brick.

I found This. If this is correct Im ready to go.

To see how the backup feature functions you must first change something in your system: e.g. delete something off your home screen, a widget, anything. Do this now (make it noticeable to you - delete your clock or something).

* Go back to Koush's Boostrapper app
* Click Boostrap Recovery
* Click Reboot Recovery

You're back in clockwork recovery again.

* Navigate to "Backup and Restore"
* Select "Restore" - this is where all your system flashes are kept, you should only have one.
* Navigate to it, press the camera button. It will ask for confirmation
* Select "Yes - Restore"

That's exactly how you do it.

i have a question about this too... i know how to root and flash roms but i have only flashed one rom and it was apex... it super smooth and i did a make a backup. so if/when i flash this liberty 1.0, do i need to go back to stock first or just flash this new rom and bingo thats it? will my previous back still be on my sdcard incase i dont like this? do i need to make a backup of the apex i am running?

So i did Flash to Liberty and I love it. Had to restore to stock because i forgot to make current backups of my Games and lost almost all of my levels. Flashed back to Liberty and almost all of my levels returned after restoring the data. Anyone know how to change the font colors without using an app from the market? Speaking of the Market where can i get the Black Themed Market?

As .46 caliber said, ROm manager is not only not needed, it actually does not work on many Droid X's. You can do everything from the Liberty program.

My issue is after successfully loading the ROM and playing with it for a day I may have made a mistake that I only learned later. I restored all my Data and Aps with MyBackUp Pro and now read that I shouldn't have restored the System apps. Anyway, what I can't seem to regain (regardless of whatever keyboard I use) is the mic feature on any keyboard that allows me to speak my message (whether SMS, Email, TXT, etc.)

Any ideas? Do I need to enable a hidden feature, reload something? I did notice that many apps dissapear after the Liberty ROM such as Alarms and timers. Is this normal? Is this the bloat ware that is pulled out?

Thanks in advance.
