New to Android. What are some neat and interesting things that you do with your phone?

Not sure about everyone else...

Myself, I fold time and space with my Optimus S.

I also make the occasional phone call, text message, etc... phone stuff.

I forgot - yep - I have Pure Calendar widget on my front screen.

Google calendar synched with Outlook work calendar is quite awesome for keeping track of appointments!

Use google and copilot (if going thru area w/o signal) for navigation.

Kill time w bubble blaster II and angry birds

Use tasker to turn volume down during work hours, silence the phone while I'm in meetings, turn on wifi when I'm at home... and other stuff I'm forgetting right now.

Surf anywhere from my laptop using wireless tether.

Use Documents to go and dropbox to edit word and excel docs and sync them with my PC's.

Check yahoo, gmail and work email.

Keep tabs on my personal gmail calendar and my work calendar.

Take the occasional photo/video and use dropbox to sync them w my PCs.

Oh, yeah. And make phone calls and about once a month send a text... if I have no other choice.

I just discovered PocketCloud by WYSE .. now I can control my PC at home with my phone (using Remote Desktop) from anywhere. It's pretty awesome.

damn, and i was just about to recommend this. i use it to download music on my home pc from work, and i often leave a blank cd in my computer in case i need to burn a cd or dvd and i want it to be done when i get home. i also recommend gameboid emulator for time killing, and a really useful app is the ti-86 calculator app. also, i am a big hockey fan, so i have the nhl gamecenter news widget on my home screen.
i have to say my favorite use of my optimus s is as an mp3 player, and with winamp on my pc and my phone, wireless sync has made my ipod touch sit unused since i got my phone. honestly, with android the possibilities are endless... whatever you think you might be able to do with it, chances are you can.

I forgot - coolest thing I got for it.

I have Comcast / Xfinity @ home.

I downloaded the xfinity app, and I can control my DVR's from the phone!

I can also check the TV schedules, etc... Most convenient app for the phone ever!

I'm a novice with 'droid so pls bear with me -
I need to do this and copy music etc over to the phone. when you did/do this, where are you putting the music, and what Player are you using? and the obvious question would be how does the player handle the folders your stash of music is in?

Is there an Itunes-Sync program that will work with this optimus?
thanx
great stuff

I keep seeing in this thread that the Optimus makes phone calls but I'm not sure I believe it. Read about telephony once on Wikipedia, sounds gheeetttoooooo.

I just put all my music on my SD card, in a folder called "music"(very original, i know...) i downloaded winamp from the market, and winamp on my pc. when i want to transfer music from my pc to my phone, i simply connect to wifi, go into winamp settings on my phone and enable wireless sync, and my optimus shows up in winamp on my computer. then, its just a case of drag and drop, and when your "transfers" reach 100%, they are ready to listen to in your winamp program, and the files are in your music folder. if you use another music program, you can always just turn on usb storage when your phone is connected to your pc, and drag and drop directly onto the music folder in the sd card.
