What will be the point in the Note 6?

With the S7 Edge increasing in screen size to 5.5", I feel like the selling points that differentiated the Note series are becoming less impressive. The gap is closing somewhat.

So apart from S pen features, what do you think the Note 6 will bring that would justify its purchase over the S7 / Edge?

S-pen can do a lot, if they expand on it's features more.
Bound to be bigger, possibly 6.0 inches.
Maybe office features, massive battery, ruggedized (here's hoping) and the return of Note 4- owners :)

If I'm Samsung, I'm turning the Note into the productivity machine it used to be. Removable battery included. If they're going to make the S7 Edge this impressive, it allows them to use the Note for other purposes. I'm guessing they don't do that, though. It might be a 6 inch phone, same build quality, 4K display, and a 4000+ mah battery.

Who needs a removable battery if you have a great one? 6 inch? Why? Isn't it allready difficult to handle?
The only great feature of this phone is the S-pen. That's all.
Probably Note 6 will be a Note 5 with 20% gain on everything. And with a removable card.

I read there will be 2 models of Note 6. One of them will be 6 inch flexible screen and will fold.

It's the similar argument of the s6 edge plus vs note 5. S-pen is probably the biggest plus, but also the note 6 might be more comfortable in the hand.

I think Samsung tried to push the edge phones over notes and many still wanted the note over the edge, like those in the UK where the note 5 wasn't originally available

Uh ME. My Note 5 had stopped functioning over a month ago; only the VOLUME KEYS worked. Everything else was frozen. I couldn't restart the phone or anything. SO having a Removable battery would be a Lifesaver.

I've had phones where it didn't matter. The phone didn't work if the battery was removable or not.

Back on topic. The point of the note 6 will be the spen mostly.
The screen might be larger. It might be more powerful then the S7 (the note 5 was compared to the s6). And who knows what else.

Here's a discussion of what people use the spen for : http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=644921

I'm on a Note 4 right now and before I had this, the Note series of phones were the ones I always coveted. Now I just wonder whether it is worthwhile to wait for the Note 6 rather than jump on the S7 / Edge

Probably 4k mah battery and 5.9" screen. Also S pen, screen splitting options and more RAM.

For clarification, the S Series was NEVER in the same class as the Notes! NEVER!

What makes you think they are now?

You cannot show me NOTHING but another NOTE!

Please leave our NOTES out of your S7 discussions,

Thanks in advance,

You are not by yourself! A lot of Note users refused to go with the de-featured Note 5, and stayed with the Note 4. I think Samsung heard us, and will bring the sd card support back. I'm am holding for the Note 6, which IMO always has been over top the S Series!

I totally agree. I was once an avid S phone user but was initially put off by the size of the Note series. I crossed over to the Note 4 from the Galaxy S5 and won't return. 5.7 inch screen plus the S pen, the memory card slot plus at least 3600 mAh battery plus the rest of the S7 camera is what I need in the Note 6. I didn't buy the Note 5😀.

Adegbenro Agoro. Galaxy Note 4.

As others have said .. S-Pen. Also a slightly bigger screen (for those who want it) :).

True, also it is almost written in stone that they are going to bring the sd support back to the Note 6, they might even up the ante, and give the Note 6 removable battery and come with bigger versions, as in 64gb and 128gb.. If they do that, and put a 5.9 or 6 inch screen, they will wipe the market clean.

I would be shocked if they did the last part (5.9 to 6 inch screen) since they have stayed around the 5.7 inch area for a long time now.

They can do the 5.9 or 6 without changing the overall size. Now, you know that would/will be a killer!

I'm pretty sure they gotta increase the screen size of the note 6. With the S7 edge being 5.5 inches. And the note 5 being 5.7. I might be 5.8 or 5.9
