What would it take for S8/S8+ owners to move to the Note 8?

What's jod?
Basically a phone rental agreement. You never own a phone, and you are always under the DPP contract because you never get the phone paid off.

I compare it to a car lease, you will always have a newer phone, just don't own it untill you eventually pay one off. From what I've been told it's not a bad program if you like new phones all the time, and you can end it eventually if you decide to pay a phone off someday. Verizon does something similar, you have to pay 50% off then you can upgrade, you can do it in 30 days as long as half is paid, and like jump, you have to send in your old phone.

Lol. My note 5 and s6 edge plus both be paid off on verizon by the time note 8 is available for preorder. I'm keeping note 5 for back up. That s6 edge plus will get sold lol.

For it to come out :)

i loved my Note, it was the first non-Apple phone i owned in 6 yesrs. I hated giving it back. i hot the S7 Edge when i had to return my Note, but i was pretty unimpressed with it. Now i have the S8+. Its agreat phone, but itsnot the Note.

Just waiting on the release tbh :)

Not much. Currently have the S8 Plus and will be buying the Note as soon as it's released. I think Samsung learned some lessons from the Note 7 and the Note 8 will be awesome.

I think the lessons they learned from the note 7 was introduced in the S series, unless your referring to the smaller battery.

I don't think the fast charging is at the same rate now as it was in earlier Samsung phones, IMO.

If want the pen, I can see the jump from the 8+. Otherwise I can't see a big reason to, since already too similar to the 8+.

Nope. The loss of the Note 7 left people with options for phones they didn't want (the V20, back to S7/Edge, the extremely ugly Pixel). The S8/+ gave people a chance to get away from those phones while they continued to wait on the Note 8.

That's exactly what I did and I miss my S-pen a lot.

I just have the S8 and it was just a place holder until the next Note came out.

I've done my best to just live with it (as I didn't have another phone to fall back on) but have not been super happy with it.

Okay, so it's leasing vs like a 24 mth payment plan to own it. I think most carriers have this.. I really wanted Sprints Galaxy forever to apply to the notes.. soo sad that it didn't and doesn't.

Lol he is being funny and honest to. It seems like a long time to pay off a phone. I'm on Verizon and have 2 phones bout be paid off by the time note 8 comes out. I have the 2 year agreement .

I don't believe that Verizon has this program for all phones, only Samsung and iPhone are eligible.

So if I want to do a payment plan on a Motorola phone I couldn't? Ok I apparently got lost somewhere. All verizon phones on their website is available on payment plan and my lg v20 is on payment plan. I'm so sorry but lmao yeah I'm lost.
There are only certain phones that you can upgrade early on before they are paid off. The S8 plus is one of them, once it is half paid you can trade it in on a new phone. Not sure anymore on if there's time requirements, like 12 months. It used to be 30 days. I don't know all the details as I pay my phones off and keep them for back ups.

Ok sorry my friend that is where I got lost. Nevermind I got it now lol. I was totally thinking about when you first buy the phone lol. Not the upgrade early thing.

Note 8, coral blue like the Note 7. Take my credit cards NOW!
Me too. I loved my coral blue note7. I have JOD also. My V20 I paid off so I could jump to S8+. S8+ I have over 1/2 paid off so I can jump to Note 8 but no pre-order this time. I pre-ordered my last 2. Note 8 I need to see in person. I really don't want a phone bigger then 8 plus.
