What would it take for S8/S8+ owners to move to the Note 8?

Me too. I loved my coral blue note7. I have JOD also. My V20 I paid off so I could jump to S8+. S8+ I have over 1/2 paid off so I can jump to Note 8 but no pre-order this time. I pre-ordered my last 2. Note 8 I need to see in person. I really don't want a phone bigger then 8 plus.

You can see it in person on display at the carrier stores and places like Best Buy and still preorder. With the 8Plus, the day after the official announcement of it, I saw it in store at Best Buy

Note7 fiasco. Made people get the s7, then the s8 and finally Note8. Unlimited amounts of money it seems.

Sometimes I'm a wee bit skeptical. On the other hand, there seem to be a fair share who endlessly buy phones and return them during the grace period for a different device.

...I agree Amy - I know I am daydreaming, but I'd give anything to have Samsung FIX the Original or Replacement Note 7 and get them back to us intact. The hell with this piece of fluff they're shipping out in Asia and calling a Note 7! That Replacement Note 7 - I don't know what they did to the software but the Iris Scanner worked better, the battery life was better... it KILLED me to turn that thing in! Old Technology or not, BEST Phone I have ever had! Stepping down off soap box... sorry!

Basically an s8 Plus with Dual cameras and S-Pen and they're already there so I'm sold BUT I would prefer they kept the 16:9 ratio for the Note series. I'm already starting to miss a 'normal' shaped screen from having my last 3 phones 18:9 ratio

There are times I wish the AT&T Store WASN'T so close! I have the cash put away for the Note 8... BUT, the AT&T Store will have a batch of shiny new Galaxy S8 Active phones in-store on Friday! Yes, this Friday!

I think unless current 8+ owners need the pen, very few will switch. Also sticking to sales being less than expected. Of course Samsung will report sell in to channels rather than actual sell through to consumers. Pulled same thing with underperformimg Note 5. No SD slot hurt that one. The offset this time is not much difference from the 8+.

I doubt it to. People weren't obligated to buy an expensive phone to replace the Note 7. Samsung didn't demand you even buy another Samsung phone, even the inexpensive ones. So they're under NO obligation.

Saying that, I would have been upset as well. But it's no ones responsibility but mine.

Whatever happened to personal responsibility and not blaming others... I guess it went away with the wall phone.

This did not come from anyone other than somebody rationalizing that Samsung can afford it, so Why not?. Then that assertion from an article is positioned as a rumor from Samsung.

Just a few days to see if my own self admitted assertion of an assertion is correct.
