So, you've been tasked to work on the Note 9. What would you change from the N8?

Bout the only thing I would, would be a wider screen, but keeping the same height. I had my Nexus 6p out this week and really missed the width it provided.

It would be nice on the N9 if the color you pick wraps around to the front like the N7. Maybe up the internal memory to 128GB, just reaching here for any other improvements. An IR blaster feature would be nice.

I would always want to improve the camera. 1000 fps slow motion capture, both lenses being low light capable f1.4 or so. 4K video capture at 60fps and 1080p abd 2K at 120fps.
Sapphire glass on the front would be a nice bonus as well. Not sure if that's possible with a curved screen, though.

I would go back to the slighter lighter weight and shorter stature of the N7. also 128 GB rather than 64. other than that it's perfect.

I want a flat screen and a back material similar to the Note 4. I know it won't happen, but the Note 4 is still my favorite designed phone.

I would also give more storage, 128Gb possibly 256Gb.

Stereo speakers. IMO it's ridiculous you have arguably the best screen in any phone, you're watching video content... and the audio is coming out a weak single firing speaker from one side. And let's try to make it louder than it currently is capable of. I was watching some videos on my phone in landscape and the videos look great but kept on thinking the sound was just weak coming from one speaker from the side. :-!

Larger battery... 3500mah should have been the min. 3750+ better. The current battery is just ok... just gets you through the day... at least for me. That's kinda weak for a flagship phone.

Lose the curved edges. It creates more problems then it's worth as far as weak point in drops and finding decent glass protectors. It's just a gimmick... You put a case on it like I have the Neo Hybrid and it pretty much hides the curves and the edge menus activate without needing the curved glass. Go with a subtle curve on a flat screen like the V30.

Of course the FPS is in a terrible spot. Lower and in the center.

Get rid of that stupid Bixby button. Voice activated is fine.

Shorten the length of the phone about an inch shorter.

A wide angle lens on the second camera like LG uses.

I pretty much love the Note 8 as it is now, just wished it had a wider screen. For the Note 9, I would like to see them make 2 versions of it. The Note 9 which would be the same size as the Note 8, but with updated specs, and then a Note 9 Plus, which would be the same height as the Note 8, but around the same width as the iPhone 7 S Plus, with a screen of 6.5 inches, flatter screen and dual speakers. I know I am just dreaming here, but it would be nice...
