Whats app not showing on S8+ on ÀOD OR LOCK SCREEN

Oreo Update: whats app notifications with content do not appear on AOD screen..also on lock screen its appears blur in background..so basically have to perform 3 steps before seeing the text mesage..Earlier it used to light up for few seconds when a new whts app messge comes and then go blank again..can someone help.am i missing some setting
