I get notifications/tile updates, but when I open WhatsApp, there are no messages

Do you have any unread messages? Sometimes I'll get a notification, and since the message is something like "Yes" or "See you later" , I don't actually bother opening Whats App, because I've already seen the contents. I dismiss the notification, but then about 10 minutes later, I'll get another notification about the message again.

I suggest you to uninstall whatsapp and then install it again. I have also faced the same kind of problem and I get rid of it in this way.
