What's blurred in the front in the latest leaked image?

Someone posted a picture of a cardboard insert into a "Marlin" case they bought on Amazon. Of course its just a filler image, because the cutout of the earpiece is off from latest leaks but there is something mysteriously on the front at the bottom.

First, people said it was a logo...the cardboard cutout suggests its an oval shaped button.

I'm hoping its another fingerprint scanner that supports gestures. Not only could you unlock your phone or verify for android pay, you could launch apps or access shortcuts using gestures. It's extremely helpful and allows the user to keep their fingers off the screen more.

i hope not. id be really disappointed if there was a button on the front (like a galaxy, moto z, htc 10, iphone) that will get me not to buy it.

I'm thinking logo considering the fingerprint sensor is on the back and the navigation icons are on the bottom of the screen.

It's probably just some identifying numbers so that the person that leaked it doesn't get caught.

Why does it need that big bezel on the bottom if there are no buttons down there? It will look like an iPhone without the button. Kind of silly.

AC just said in their newest article that it's something that we shouldn't expect to be on the device at release and it should be a clean look (thankfully). If this is sold exclusively on Verizon that means I might be able to get it at a promo price which means I'll probably be getting it. Looking forward to the announcement.

Yep. Probably just a barcode because we're looking at a pre-production test device here
