What's Google announcing tomorrow?

I'm going out on a limb and guessing "push" tasks as a new feature.

I second this. I seem to recall the Push API in the rumor mill about six months back, and the announcement of this feature would kill the one thing RIM has had over its competition for the longest time. The problem is that I doubt that Push would be something Google would arrange a press conference to discuss, as there is nothing to "see" and would likely go over the heads of 80% of their user base. Just a mention of this somewhere would make me happy.

Mark it down:

Appbrain like website by Google (push apps to phone)
Gmusic with unlimited streaming for $8.49 (all you can eat music)
Gingerbread teaser

That's what I am waiting for. A standalone Google Voice Voip service (i.e. no need to make calls via third parties like Skype or PSTN lines).

Oh how much I'd love for this to be true: to dial and recieve calls on my GV number via wifi/4G. But the carriers would have a cow. It'll never happen.. So sad.

Paid apps in more countries would be welcome, as well as Navigation in more countries.

"...couple of cool new features for Android"

- revamped app market with PC browsing
- new media player (that is Gmusic ready) in said market
- small presentation on how those features preview the awesomeness that will be Gingerbread

Perhaps they're announcing that they're going to abandon the dessert-themed names and instead use small mammals instead. Hamster, Muskrat, Steve Jobs.

I'm thinking either a music service, something to do with Android gaming, and/or a tightly integrated video calling system (like facetime but better).

The last time they did a surprise fall mobile announcement, the stand-alone GPS market was almost destroyed.

I don't think it's any coincidence that they're announcing this on the same day as the release of the D2. It's got to be Google Music/Media/TV. Over the air access to all your music and videos and together with the recently trademarked by Motorola "Family Room," media sharing with your family, friends or group.

They've owned Simplify long enough, I think, to put it to use and I'm sure they're aching to launch this before Apple launches their service with Lala. They'll probably also announce their own music store as they've been on an absolute tear in buying up music rights from various companies. Also will announce more details on the launch of Google TV in the fall and how "Family Room" plays into that.

Let's not forget Moto does set-top boxes, too. ;)
