Whats possibly gone bad with my phone?

[Android Central Question]

So i found my old phone, it wont turn on of course, connect it to a charger, still nothing, but when i tried connecting it to a PC, the PC recognizes the phone for a brief second, then it disappears again, so whats possibly gone bad with it?

Try letting it charge for few hours
