Whats the best Galaxy Note 8 case for ultimate drop protection up till now? February 2018

I stand by my Pelican Voyager case, it is a good looking case with great drop protection. I have the grey/clear case with a belt clip. best phone case, period.......

Otterbox Defender user here. I love it but hate there are no good screen protector options. Right now, I'm using one of the soft plastic stick on protectors. I took it to be disposeable when I put it on and 3 months later, it is starting to peel at the edges. I'll just get another because nothing else I've found works.

Just got my Note 8 back after having the screen replaced after thanks to little drop. I had it in a Spigen Rugged Armor (still do) but it landed face down on some stones so it didn't stand a chance. I was gonna go for the Otterbox Defender this week after seeing a colleague at work with it on his but he complains that wireless charging no longer works and NFC payments are very hit and miss with it on. Also like you say it no longer has a built in screen protector either

I never liked the built in screen protector because if you get water or sweat (Im a runner) underneath, you have to disassemble the case to get it out. But the problem is, the case covers so much that it prevents good glass screen protectors for the Note 8 from adhering properly. These stupid curved edge screen protectors seem to only have adhesive on the edges. So if they are pressured by the case from said edges, the whole screen protector lifts up.

Yes, wireless charging is more difficult. But there's an indent in the Defender case where it clips to the holster. If I line that indent up with the led light on the wireless charging base, I don't have any problem. If I'm off by 1/4 inch, it will charge for a few minutes and stop. Honestly though, I'm about done with wireless charging. It's SO MUCH slower than wired fast charging. I don't even use my wireless charger at my office anymore. I just keep one by my bedside since it doesn't really matter at that point how fast it charges.

I have the Defender and wireless charging works fine too. I got the regular charging samsung round wireless charger that came out in early 2015.

Well I had plans of getting the OtterBox Defender, but now I'm thinking of getting the UnicornBeetlePro of Supcase instead. Because Wireless Charging and NFC is something I need on a day-to-day basis. And Google Pay/Samsung Pay are very handy on the go.

And the UnicornBeetlePro is similar to OtterBox Defender but with just 2 layers of protection, and it is less bulky and a lower price tag too.

And a screen protector is a MUST for me. I don't want to damage the screen and pay a few hundred £pounds cost to repair it.

I will buy another case that's rugged something like UAG Monarch or Samsung Official Rugged Case. Which do you think is the most rugged and protective overall?
Or is there another case similar to that which supports NFC and Wireless Charging?

I run/ use the Otterbox Defender 90% of the time. This case is awesome protection against falls and drops. I also use the holster it comes with as well. I also have the spigen wallet case, Samsung heavy duty case, specks grip case, and UAG's Monarch case as well. All good cases. Would recommend all of them to other note users.

Unicorn Beetle Pro is no more protection than any other generic Note 8 case, IMHO. I bought them all before I settled on the Defender. This is the screen protector I bought that works with my Defender. It's a soft TPU. I THOUGHT it was starting to peel, but when I went to remove it, I realized I just hadn't pulled off the front of the protective coating, lol! And as I and others with the Defender have stated, wireless charging still works. You just have to make sure you center the phone on the charger.[h=1][3 PACK] Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector (Case Friendly), LK [Full Coverage] PET Soft Flexible TPU film with Lifetime Replacement Warranty[/h]

While not the most rugged. I did just buy the samsung rugged case. It feels nice. Not sure how well it will fair when dropped though.

Only if OtterBox Defender had a Glass Screen Protector that is fully compatible then it would've been the best ever!

And you seem to have all my favourite cases! In terms of protection which is best between the UAG Monarch, Speck grip case, and Samsung Heavy Duty case?

About the Spigen Wallet case, does the magnet interfere with the S-PEN use??

Do you think the Defender would be compatible with the amFilm Glass Screen Protector which is available in Amazon?? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...ag=hawk-future-21&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6164560

I would've gone for it if the OtterBox Defender supported this glass screen protector. I think the UAG monarch, Samsung Rugged case, UnicornBeetlePro all support this screen protector.

I agree that a glass screen protector would have made the otterbox defender the top case.

I would say the UAG Monarch is the best case for protection. Especially for living in Minnesota. Then it would be the Speck grip case.

I have the Spigen wallet case that has the slid able door on the back.
I forgot to add that I have popsockets on the Spigen, UAG, and the speck case. I also have the spigen kickstand on the UAG and Spigen case as well.

I just picked up a rhinoshield Crashguard bumper. Theoretically based on its design, it should protect as well as my Otter box Symmetry case. Much thinner as well.
