Yeah that is the only thing that is bumming me out with Zagg, the whole 12-24 hrs "off thing".

I'm still waiting on mine to arrive in the mail, and will need to set up a time to make sure I wont be using the phone after its application.

Got pissed because BetterAlarmClock ate resources and froze the phone. So the alarm was going off but the "dismiss" button wouldnt register.

Is there a built in alarm clock? or a halfway decent alarm clock app?

Yes there is a built in alarm clock app. Open up desk clock. Much better alarm than my crapberry had.
