Whats the most RUGGED Case for Samsung galaxy Note8 that will protect the phone all round?

Also, does it have a bit of natural grip feel to it? I've currently got my Ringke Air cushion clear case on and I like it because it has a bit of a grip to it, it's not super slippery.

The grip is pretty good, I like the way it feels in the hand. I'll post a pic when I get home.

I bought it when it first came out, It was around 60 bucks and I had to buy it through pelican because Amazon didn't have it yet.
OK. Does this one have a built in screen protector? I like thebDefender because it doesn't have one. I like having the option.

I have actually dropped my phone twice so far. I had the Encased Rebel on and Whitestone dome. Both times getting out of the car. One time face down. Not even a scratch. But can I say they are rugged accessories, no, not really.

Face down drop on a hard store floor at Staples from waist high, this case. No damage.

How is the responsiveness of the screen with the Unicorn Beatle case? @Scottie15

Apparently the built-in screen protector on the Unicorn Beetle Pro is pretty responsive but I already had a Zagg Glass Curve so I just popped out the screen protector from the plastic frame, removed the remaining adhesive on the plastic frame, and used it without the screen protector. Solid solid case but I've found that using the plastic frame has actually scratched my metal frame (orchid grey) somehow.

But the case gives ultimate protection, with port covers and a deep S Pen port, raised rubbed bumpers on the back etc.

It's excellent...I don't notice any difference. Only issue is the retina scan is covered by the screen protector and doesn't seem to work well like that... I'll probably drill a hole through it when I have a moment.

Drop any phone, with any screen protector, so that the screen hits something solid and sharp (like tough concrete) and the screen will shatter or break, depending on the outer layer (Gorilla Glass 5, tempered glass, etc.) Until they come out with transparent steel, there's no way to protect a screen from a direct hit. These cases are all designed to keep the screen from hitting a flat surface - if they hit exactly flat. Hit at an angle, or have a tiny pebble under the screen and something will break. Remember, the case flexes a mm or two, depending on the case, so don't expect protection from anything more than 1mm above the floor, street or wherever it's dropped. (I'd rather see a chain that attaches to the case firmly, and that lets the phone reach your ear, but stops it short of hitting the ground.,)

It had a screen protector but I threw it away, you don't need one with this phone.

You absolutely do need a screen protector. ABSOLUTELY

I had one without a screen protector and I dropped it gave down while in a uag case on FLAT concrete and the screen shattered. It was the regular uag case. You need the impact protection trust me.

They're great for some people. Others choose not to use them. Personally I don't care for the protectors though I do see why some swear by them.

Unicorn beetle pro is decent, I had it for the s7, I wouldn't even consider this version because of the built in screen protector. It's a good alternative case to the Defender though it's not as protective

Bro Which "brand" of Unicorn Beetle Pro are you referring as to not being much protective and having the built-in screen protector not very effective? The i-BLASON or the SUPCASE brand??

Hey which brand of Unicorn Beetle Pro did you own that scratch your silver metal frame of the Orchid Grey Galaxy Note 8? The i-BLASON or SUPCASE?
And in terms of waist height accidental drop protection, do you recommend this case?

For extreme protection, this looks interesting (and very bulky). Never tried it though. I'm more into thin protection right now.

The Red Kaaum Case looks like an Iron Man Case with ultimate protection, their website having the description of it being an all round invincibly protective case really convinced me, though I really haven't heard about Kaaum Cases before.

And despite the fact that it being very heavy might be problem for some, but this case does look like it'll make your Galaxy Note8 to last for years!

Yes Rukbat, I agree with you! There might not be any compromise if your Galaxy Note8 having the most Rugged Cases like the UAG Monarch or Otterbox Defender on and if it falls and gets direct front screen contact with any solid or sharp like tough concrete, then your pretty much doomed! 😿

So for that instance, I was considering and pretty much recommending y'all to get the Tech21 EVO WALLET Case for the Galaxy Note8, because not only your phone will have decent "all round" protection that we all crave for but also a "front flip screen" that might give good face flat drop protection and may be a life-saver if your phone comes into direct contact with anything concrete-like. In addition, you will be getting 2 essential card slots where you can keep your Driver's License or ID Card or Credit Card on the go!

However my main concern was that if the Tech21 EVO Wallet Case will be compatible with the Whitestone Dome (Protector(which is the ONLY Screen Protector I highly suggest to anyone whose shopping for front screen protectors, and should get it regardless which ever case they want to use)

The Whitestone Dome's website mentioned about the Tech21 Evo Tactical, Evo Check and other Tech21 Cases will be supported but didin't clearly mention that the Tech21 Evo Wallet Case. 😟😟

Do you or Anyone else have the answer to this specific question?

The problem with UAG it doesn't have great side protection. I recommend using the Defender or one of the generic Defender cases. It has a big lip too compared to the UAG case. Tempered glass or not falling on asphalt with pebbles on it especially the screen is probably going to shatter.

A couple years ago my dad was carrying his S5 in his front pocket using the Insigna holster case and he stumbled and it flew from about 5 feet high onto the pavement screen first. No tempered glass, just the protective cheap film screen protector and the phone did fine. I was shocked the screen didn't break from that impact.

I have the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. Awesome case with the highest level of protection without sacrificing size. Porthole covers, great protection for speaker, S pen and corners. Even has rubber bumpers on the back. Minus the small minor scratches, it is the best as you can get IMHO. And I've already checked out the Otterbox Defender.

Yeah that is shocking. These curved screens are beautiful but hard to protect for sure.

Same Company, same address, same logo... iBlason/Supcase, 1880 McFarland Parkway - Suite 180, Alpharetta, GA 30005 what's the point of the question???

Well there was one case that came pretty close. For the Note 7 tech 21 made a case called the Evo Tactical XT which was basically their defender line of cases made for the Note 7 and iPhone 7. Better than their typical Tactical case which IMO doesn't offer much protection. It had sides that were flush at least and it was a pretty darn good case too.

However this line is no longer being made. I asked them before the S8 came out if they would make it for the s8 Plus and no dice! It's the only tech 21 case I'd consider buying.

If they did make it for the Note again I'd buy it and use it over the defender.
