Whats the most RUGGED Case for Samsung galaxy Note8 that will protect the phone all round?

This is why everyone in my family who has a note 8, and it is 6 of us, just want the next version to get ride of the stupid curved glass sides!!
That, and the fact that some screens weren't properly annealed (leading to spiderwebbing in the glass) are one of the two reasons that kept me from updating. I'll wait to see if the Note 9 is better. (You'd think that by now, Samsung would have learned to anneal their screens properly and to test them for proper annealing before putting the glass on the rest of the screen - but I guess it's cheaper to replace the screen on a few thousand phones than to do things right. And a lot of sheeple probably just put up with the tiny cracks because they've gotten used to badly made products [or aren't old enough to remember "pride of workmanship"].)

(The other reason is the non-removable battery, and that may be a dying hope.)

A case is like locking your door at home. You lock your door to keep the "mild" criminal out, but if they really want in, the lock is nothing more than a hindrance. Phone cases are the same. I have friends that could shatter a phone if it were incased in concrete and I have friends that carry their phones naked and throw them around like they were a Happy Meal Toy and never get a scratch. For those former folks, I have an idea. Somebody needs to design a phone case that is designed after a bucky ball with shock absorbing webbing on the interior. The phone would be cradled in the webbing. Make it about the size of a volleyball and you take care of your breakage issue and you would have a difficult time losing it also. Of course, this would mean using Bixby for everything. Wouldn't that be a real joy!!

All in jest,

IMO, the Super Duty of cases (yeah, I'm a Ford guy) Unicorn Beetle Pro - I gently removed their plastic screen protector from the front frame because I already had a Zagg tempered glass screen protector on mine. The front frame still snaps in over the Zagg screen protector into the back half of the case and makes for a super rugged case. The outside has a nice grip surface too so it doesn't slip out of your hand easily! I've only dropped mine twice but never a flat face drop like your friends. The UB Pro has an upper and lower lip on the front that keeps the front glass probably 3mm off the surface you lay it on, so I think that would help on a face drop! I don't use the Holster - just stick it in my front pants pocket! Here's the link:

I'd be more impressed if they properly presented it in Amazon... References to iPad protection throughout the description.

I bought the rugged case but it seems to mess with Samsung pay.switched to candy shell grip and it works again

I will be getting 3-4 Cases, because thats what I usually do with my smartphones, previous Samsungs and iPhones, have a bunch of case, which I change every other month.

Those who are referring to the Unicorn Beetle Pro, I will get it, its 1st on my list, it is a great case. But which one are you referring to the i-blason or supcase brand? Which one is the best from the two brands?

I might also be getting a Tech21 Evo Wallet case, because when you have a front flip screen, your phone will be always protected.
Any reviews about this case? Anyone using it? Please post your thoughts here 😁

And I might be considering the UAG Monarch over the Otterbox Defender. But I really do like the Otterbox Commuter, its slim and protective.

Please share your thoughts here.
Thanks everyone for your comments, very helpful and responsive android community indeed.

Really enjoying my unicorn beetle - supcase. On the tech 21, search for some reviews as the ones I read said the pins that hold the cover on break off. I have the tech 21 Evo check and it is an excellent case.. It's what I use most.

I'm using the Pelican Voyager clear case, by far the best case on the market. this is the first clear case from them I've owned and I love it. it makes the phone feel great and it has a belt clip. it's not cheap at around 60 to 70 bucks, but it is well worth it. I had one on my Note 5 and Note 7 as well. as long as I get cases, the Pelican will be what goes on my phones.

Unicorn beetle pro is decent, I had it for the s7, I wouldn't even consider this version because of the built in screen protector. It's a good alternative case to the Defender though it's not as protective

Where did you buy it for 60-70? Carrier store? Just curious. Amazon has it for $44

Also, does it have a bit of natural grip feel to it? I've currently got my Ringke Air cushion clear case on and I like it because it has a bit of a grip to it, it's not super slippery.
