what's the reason that Samsung restricts multi-window to only a few apps it approves?

yes, there are ways around it, but I'm just trying to figure out why they did it in the first place....

they didn't "restrict" it..
the app needs a certain piece of code for multi-window to work
any developer could include that code and their app will work with it

thanks.. that makes sense....

but why didn't Samsung just write their Touchwiz or multi-window app so it can
allow *any* standard Android app to operate within the window? :)

Too much testing required maybe? It's dumb that they left out several of the apps that the other carries already have. Pretty sure this was Verizon's decision, not Samsung's. Not a big deal for me since I rooted.
