From Engadget: ...big, bright 4.3-inch LCD up front that's moved up to qHD since the X -- an impressive 960 x 540 resolution. Viewing angles are extremely good as is contrast, making this one of the best displays we've yet seen on a handset. It doesn't quite have that look of the Super AMOLED Plus displays Samsung has been packing on phones like the Galaxy S II or the Infuse 4G, but its brightness, contrast, color reproduction, and most importantly resolution make it a very strong contender.
From bgr: The resolution is there, but unfortunately the screen looks pixelated to me despite bumping up the original model?s 480 x 854-pixel resolution to 540 x 960. Colors, however, are accurately displayed and the qHD screen on the Motorola DROID X2 is bright and vivid. The resolution is close to the Retina Display on the iPhone 4, and while that looks great on paper, once you?ve compared the two, well, there isn?t a comparison. Outdoor readability was very good on the DROID X2′s display, though, and the 4.3-inch screen is great for web browsing and multimedia.
From phonearena: Nonetheless, it offers sharp looking visuals that pack plenty of detail and higher pixel density, while producing some natural looking colors. In addition, its high-contrast look enables us to use it outdoors under direct sunlight with no visibility issues whatsoever. Lastly, its good viewings angles doesn?t fade, distort, or wash out colors ? thus, keeping it consistent looking at all angles.
Infosyncworld offers no negatives about the screen of the phone i can see and rate it a 95%, one of the top phones if not the top phone right now.
Also note that i've read that bgr is apple biased but still praise the phone. I have seen it in person and compared to a Charge, which i use right now and pentile is fine to me.
