My local Best Buy mentions that I am #6 on the list but wont give me an appointment time. They will open at 7am and the pre-order just means that I am guaranteed the phone on the 4th... sigh:/

spoke to mobile manager at my bb
he said they are placing the order with their warehouse right before june 4th,and EVERYONE who has a preorder will get a phone
they arent making appointments at this point, because there arent that many presold, but he suggested coming in the afternoon, after the early morning impatient crazies leave..

so, relax if you have ordered at bb...

That is pretty busy?!? My BB had over 100 a couple of days ago. And I don't think it is a busy one due to it's location.

why would u need an appointment. all you need is to go in get the phone activate it and you are done

So that they have enough time between people that want to learn more about the phone and its not crazy and having everyone waiting around.

#6 and just completed a "set-up" appointment at my BB for 6:30pm. They said I will have my own consultant that will do nothing but set up phones all day long. They better not sell mine to someone else...

Got a call from BB on the way home from work to setup an appointment. I was #14, they said they got confirmation they were getting 50 in. At 10:30 on the 4th I will have that sweet little thing in my hands!

Wife and I are #45 and #46.
We got it (preorder) on Thursday.

I'm nervous because I don't want them to "oops" and push us back to the second shipment. They said we'd get it on the 4th, but since I'm exchanging my recently bought Hero for the Evo, time is VERY important.

Should I be concerned if my BB didn't setup an appointment? When I went in to pre-order they didn't mention anything about appointments and they didn't have a clue as to how many units were going to be coming in, anyone have any guesses as to how many units each BB store is going to get?
