Back to Pixel launcher. There is a trick to using icons packs with the Pixel default launcher. Takes a little time but am happy with it. Use shortcut maker and add each icon as a widget on the screen. Using Pashapuma's pix Material Light/ dark icon pack you can change each icon and it will dynamically change with your wallpaper. Have fun.
