Whatsapp Notification Tone

So i remembered being able to use a custom tone for Whatsapp. And turns out that i cant anymore... BUT i can on my $58 Redmi GO... Any idea how to change it?

First pic is my S10P and 2nd is my Redmi GO.

Create a folder named Notifications in the root of your phone storage and copy all your audio files there and they will show as the notification tones.

You don't have to create that folder. it is already on the phone by default.

That is where I put all my custom tones.

Hmm, that's odd. I had a Pixel 3 XL for 6 months, and the Notification and Ringtone folders were always there by default after setting up the phone, and now with my S10+ there are still there by default.

Even after doing factory resets, which I usually do every other month to clean things up, they are always there after I finish setup.
