when are we getting ice cream?

LOL... Patience friend... We will have it official soon enough .. I'm interested to see if the official release brings any performance changes over the custom ROMs being built right now...

Yeah, I actually enjoy GB, I'm just really looking forward to hardware acceleration.

We'll see about that. The hardware acceleration hasn't made much difference with the AT&T gsm nexus phones. Two guys here at work went back to gingerbread after the ota update. They preferred the custom GB roms that they had over the stock OTA ICS.

Imo... I feel that an official ota for our phones will only help the developers make faster better roms. As for stock ICS, I doubt it will be noticeably faster than GB.

I wouldn't even wait for OTA anymore, so many ICS ROMs and much better than stock kernels out there. Currently using CM9 and Matr1x

I agree 100%. I am using oICS43 and Matr1x and have no issues with anything not working. I will not be loading the stock ics on my phone but will patiently wait for the dev's to create roms based off it.

Thats a big let down, When I had my Evo I spent many changes to make it like GB. Now that I have it I actually love it.
