when do we get ics?

I love my GSII and I am use to and enjoy TWZ but I do feel that Sammy needs to get 4.0 rolling out to us just because. they want to be the #1 phone Manufacturer then you have get these upadtes out and about faster. I'm fine with 2.3 but alot of people have the same complain and if most of the customers are complaining about updates speeds then fix it . I do agree that whe nwe do get 4.0 its not going to be to different from what we have now in TWZ but some of the new features would be cool.

I agree man the 4.0 of ics mixed into touchwiz would be awesome..I cant wait

I'd rather wait a little longer for a working OS. It seems like every time there's an upgrade, they upgrade the bugs too. It would be great to get it right before sending it out.

From leaked test builds......nothing visually will really change from the current gingerbread touchwiz innovation. soooo none of the u.s galaxy s2 will have that look of ice cream sandwich just its guts

Have you seen it on the galaxy nexus..the ui is laggy sorta and bogged down and i like how samsung is blending ics in..Alot smoother/better

While this is not specific to the US variants, looks like the ICS update should start rolling out March 1

Looks like Samsung is trying to make good on updates, after their update debacle from 2011. We shall see.

I hope we see the update within 2 months of the GSM variants. Not a prediction, just a wish list.

In the recent Cyanogenmod update they said the next batch of phones they will be working on for CM9 are Samsung phones with the Exynos processor. So that means us!

I read that too. It made my day. So happy that the CM devs seem to be very focused on Sammy products.

I have been ok with TouchWiz by using GoLauncher but I really want to have the ultra customization of CM on my phone. I love choices. It's just hours and hours of geeky phone fun, making my phone truly MINE.

Hehe. That's the stock ICS battery indicator, colored grey instead of blue. It's the only thing "ICS-like" in the status bar.

This is why i think the skinning thing sucks... granted touchwiz looks much nicer then stock android now, but compared to ics its not much niced then gingerbread. So i assume we will keep the same contacts, calendar and gmail apps??? God i hope not. People is so much nicer then the giant tabbed contacts app of gingerbread, and gmail on ics is much better as well. None of the leaks show contacts, yet all the leaks look slightly different so its really hard to tell what exactly we are getting. Also messaging is nicer in ics as well.
