when hooked up to the computer it did not have all my deleted photos a bunch of emojis

I downloaded the Defrone software, turn the USB debugging on, hooked up the phone to the PC, some pictures came up but the majority of them did not, it was a bunch of weird emojis. What went wrong?

Nothing. Deleted photos can't be fully recovered.

When you delete any file, the space it's on can be used to store anything else. If something got stored over a picture, "recovering" the picture (marking its directory entry "active" instead of "deleted") leaves the pointer still pointing to wherever in storage the picture was. So you're seeing a graphical representation of something that's not a picture.

The only way "undeleting" works is if you do it as soon as you realize that you deleted something you didn't want to delete.
