When is Sprint releasing the HTC One update?

I had the S4 a month ago and I couldn't deal with the bloatware and the drama so I switched to the HTC ONE for a less annoying experience. The S4 had a lot of innovative things I didn't need (it has a pedometer, calorie counter, eyes that watch you, etc). Out of the box the S4 had Jelly Bean 4.2.1, the ONE is still stuck at 4.1.2. I know HTC released the latest update this week but it's for Asia and European customers...so now I will rage at Sprint. They need to get it together, this is just ridiculous.

You must be new to Android.. I mean... HTC released it a week ago for those countries and you expect the US carriers to nab it and push it that fast? Never happens like that..

If it's that ridiculous root.. Otherwise you should of stayed with the S4 and done some homework to see the HTC One was not updated. If anything Sprint does the best job usually at pushing updates... We usually always get them before the other carriers.

US carriers always operate slower than everywhere else in general. They have more strict internal testing policies and depending on carrier the amount of bloatware installed slows the process.

However the track record, Sprint has a reputation of usually being the first out of the gate to push a new update.

Tbt the HTC ONE doesn't even need 4.2.x. You only get a few features added that you can do yourself with a application but it'll eat some battery. I don't understand why people are giving the ONE a hard time with 4.2 arriving. Sense 5 was built on 4.1.x so they couldnt just hurry and update the software (I'm sure they could have but it would have taken away from the release date) the ONE isn't missing much not having 4.2.x. Tbt I'd be perfectly fine if HTC skipped 4.2.x and went straight into 4.3.x if Google has released it for OEMS that would mean we'd get the update pretty fast. The S4 may have 4.2.1 but with all that Samsung bloat it doesn't even leave the user noticing its 4.2 honestly

This is why I am running android revolution. Sense 5 on 4.2.2. But honestly I don't see why people are fussing about this update. There are a few features yes but the HTC one with 4.1.2 was still a great phone. Do I like the 4.2.2 updates? Sure. But I don't expect the carriers to put it out anytime soon.

HTC One - Unlocked, ARHD 12, Bulletproof Kernel, Several mods.
Nexus 7 - Cyanogenmod
Tab 2 7 - Cyanogenmod

Carriers probably won't release it before the Verizon ONE is released (rumored to have 4.2.2 out of the box). Plus 4.1.2 isn't messed up or causing problems in the ONE so I doubt they're gonna panic about people complainijg
