When is the end of life for the S8?

I was flirting with the idea of upgrading to an S10e, but I decided not to. Approximately when will the S8 no longer receive updates? I'm hoping to get two more years.

Well, the S8 just got Pie, so they should keep it updated at least another year. Samsung just announced the the S7 will stop getting monthly security updates and switch to quarterly updates.

I don't know if they stated how long the quarterly updates will happen.

Probably one more year as far as security updates and device support. As far as any major system updates, this is probably the end of the road.

Agreed. Samsung generally provides two major OS updates, so this is probably the end of the road.

Will Oreo still have security updates on the S8, or will I need to update to Pie?
