I myself like the curved screens, but I do get that not everyone likes them. From what I've read, Apple is only releasing one curved screen and the others will be that. Samsung made a mistake by not offering the flat screen on the S8 and curved on S8 plus.Typically Apple and Google are the only OEM's taking security seriously, so it's going to be difficult to ignore Apple's release this year. That said, the curved screen thing needs to die IMO and I really hope Apple doesn't make that mistake. Apple's software user experience still leaves a LOT to be desired IMO (both visually and functionally) though they do have some aspects that Android should be taking note of.
I'm actually considering one as a new daily driver tbh.
With some of the rumors of new features of the iPhone, one with curved screen, wireless charging, ect, will you switch to the iPhone, maybe, no chance in hell, or are you one that switches to every new phone?
I love the S8 series and have no plans of changing this year. I think Samsung did a great job on this one.
Yeah, I think that's the big thing this time... Samsung has moved way ahead design wise, and feature wise, they both come together perfectly in this device.I have always thought the same thing. How does Apple get away with offering something like wireless charging and get away with people thinking they are geniuses, which we all know will happen if they add wireless charging next round. Samsung has had that feature for years, yet Apple will be a genius idea.. Apple is now followers IMO.
Well, I never said I'm dumping Android entirely.I get the curiosity, I've been there-done-that a couple of times, but believe me, if you are an Android user who enjoys the freedom, diversity and customization Android gives you, once you use the iPhone for a week, boredom begins, you find yourself using the phone even less and less each day until you just use it when it's needed, while on Android and in a phone like the S8, months after I got it (2 months already) and I find myself turn it on just to look at the screen, then to see all my widgets information updates on the fly wherever I put them on my Home screens, changing my theme, icons and even the launcher just to refresh it, well, you know what I mean.
Once boredom hits you on the iPhone, the only ones that stays there are the loyal iPhone fans that for Apple benefit and credit, are most of them.
You have a point, what if wireless charging is there, which it is rumored to be there and they add expandable storage, I know, but just for fun if they did, would expandable storage change people's minds?
I currently have the s8 and iphone 7 and like both for different reasons ...the iphone is smooth but is too static , itunes sux but apps work wothout crashing . S8 is almost a work of art in comparison and samsung ui is improved but semi lags here and there ....chrome lags on this site
Samsung browser beta for me works great and super SnappyRecommendation, don't use Chrome, use Samsung browser, a lot more optiomized with even bigger features than Chrome.
When I use other phones, including iPhones I always use Chrome, but when I have a Samsung phone I disable Chrome and only use Samsung Browser. Smoother, Adblocker, Bimoterics login to websites and remember passwords, Bookmarks Sync with chrome (With Chrome Desktop's extension) and a lot other features makes it a better choice than Chrome, IMHO.
Thanks , it does indeed work a lot better ... chrome is pretty much useless on this site on the s8Recommendation, don't use Chrome, use Samsung browser, a lot more optiomized with even bigger features than Chrome.
