When will HTC One M8 in the US get Marshmallow update?

You still can use 1 finger for pull down menu, you just have to do it twice. Since the Play Services updated and each app needs individual approval I kept getting a Google Photos has stopped working when I tried to use the camera. I had to open it and approve it so it would stop crashing. Just a heads up for anyone else.

The WiFi and data signal notification icons now follow stock Android scheme. No more stupid Sprint Spark spinning icon. Love it!

Everybody was complaining on how busy that notification area was, so now they fixed it!

I'm still trying to understand why they made it to where you can't uninstall Lookout. What kinda S*H*I*T is that?

I do like having control over the Navigational Bar, I added a screen off button and arranged it to where I want it. You have the ability to add or remove 7 buttons or hide the bar all together, nice.

You can remove Lookout but first you have to revoke administration privilege. Look around in settings, you'll find it.
I really don't know why you would remove the best app on your phone.

Google Now works with the Flashlight for on and off. "OK, Google, turn on flashlight" still works. So does turning it off. I thought that with Lollipop turning off the flashlight with OK Google, didn't work, but I can't remember. Guess I didn't use OK google to turn/off the flashlight very much. :):)

And Google Fit still doesn't work on the M8. Come on, HTC!

Notice that I have Peel Remote installed, came with Marshmallow I guess. Wonder what other unwanted junk I am going to find.

Stop complaining. This upgrade saved my phone. BTW, that remote replaced the HTC tv app so you broke even.

It can't even be disabled now. On kitkat I was able to fully uninstall the app. Now it's just there...

I've been trying to boot into recovery to wipe the cache, but after I get the red triangle and hold volume up and click power, nothing happens and then after 20 or 30 seconds the phone restarts. Oh well.

After looking at my wife's phone it appears my flashlight app never updated. I still have the old 3 levels one. Unfortunately it crashes when pushing the button to turn it on

In Display and Gestures we now have complete control over which gestures we want to use, nice. Also the system notification reminder seems to be a continuing one so I can get rid of another app, not just one and done, nice.

This is a real nice update, seems to offer more personal control, yet sleek and fast, I don't feel pushed to look for a new phone anymore. There are a ton of options in the Developer section and it has Sense 7, which I haven't tried yet since I love Nova Prime.
