When will the N6 Receive the OTA Update?

I guess October 5th was simply a rumor. Today is October 7th and so far no Marshmallow OTA update for the Nexus 6. Great job Google. Great job. NOT !!!!!! The clowns at Google could learn a lot from Apple regarding the PROPER path to releasing a new smartphone OS!

It's a Nexus. Unlock the bootloader and flash the factory image.

Or go back to carrier phone and wait a year, geez wait the few days or flash it yourself.

@OP - You shouldn't take rumors as a release date. Apple doesn't even do this. There are plenty of Apple rumors that don't show up on the exact date -- because Apple didn't say they would. Just like here it was a Google rumor. The rumor was somewhat right as in the images were released on Oct. 5th -- but the OTA might take a little longer.

Due to how this thread turned out I am going to lock it up. Thanks all.
