hi SpookDroid,If you look at each picture's details, tags should be there (or you can set the tags there; swipe up while looking at a picture and the tag should be at the bottom, or the #add tag button if it has none). As for the tags you've created before, if you click the Search button, it should be a category there (if it isn't, tap the menu button and go to Search Settings then Search categories; there enable the My tags section).
Yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Tag option disappears in the future and are just somewhat implemented with the AI recognition features (usually when Samsung 'hides' options by not making them the default, you'll see it morphed into something else or removed entirely soon...)hi SpookDroid,
first off, thank you so much for your help and i was able to locate all my previously tagged photos in UI 6 by enabling My tags. for whatever reason, in search settings -> search categories ->my tags was disabled by default in UI 7 beta 3.
i hope not. tagging photos makes it easier and quicker to find what i need, at least for me.Yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Tag option disappears in the future and are just somewhat implemented with the AI recognition features (usually when Samsung 'hides' options by not making them the default, you'll see it morphed into something else or removed entirely soon...)
right. i should make a habit of renaming the photo after taking it, so they can be reached easily.Problem with that is that with Samsung's tags, they aren't being saved to the pictures themselves. Move that to a different ecosystem? Poof. Tags gone. It's not like the tags from MP3 files, for instance, that got embedded into the file... And now that AI can find pictures more easily and you can manage photos by albums, tags are becoming less 'useful' for most (again, I know that it may seem that when a manufacturer deprecates a feature that you happen to use it feels like they're doing it without feedback, but the truth of the matter is that most of these features that do go away are really not used that much and doesn't warrant continued support/development in the larger scope).
