Where are my contacts?

I have a rooted dink2 that I gave to my son. Yesterday, we did a factory reset to get rid of all my stuff and then signed in to his Goog account. His contacts still have not downloaded to the dinc2. What did we do wrong?

Looks like my son saved all his contacts to phone and not to Google. He did a factory reset on his old phone too. So contacts are lost. Sorry for the wasted post.

It's always a smart idea to back up your contacts right away. Just export them to the SD Card, they'll be able to be imported after a reset anyways.

I learned this the hard way too. My first Android (HTC Hero) had to be factory resetted, and I had to put all my contacts in again. That time I saved them as Google. lol

Check they are still on Google contacts using your computer. If there is no, that mean you lost them.
