Where are the contacts saved in my phone's memory ?

Hi,
I dropped my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 today and the screen cracked...Now the screen is all black but the phone still works...i tried to find my contacts from my google account but i didn't find them..I don't know if they synced or not as i never checked...i connected my phone to the computer with USB and copied all the stuff...i was wondering if anybody knows if i can find my contacts from there...thanks

Use Samsung Kies software to backup your device. Pretty sure you can't pull contacts from just a copy of your internal memory.
