where did my music go? wtf

ok for some reson my epic wont find my music. that said heres what i find.
i can download new music from music junk ect. it shows up in player, i reboot and it says no songs, but they are all in my music folder on sd. i checked and triple checked. i even downloaded different players, lithium and others, they all say no songs.
what gives?

FWIW my GF has same phone with same rom and hers is fine

Try a reboot + removal of SD card.

Power down phone
Pull back cover off, remove SD card
Pull battery, then replace battery
replace SD card.

Power on the phone.
see if this fixes your issue

tried it several times, this has been an issue for a couple days, havent had time till now to try and mess with it. im stumped tho

i can open and play the file if i nav to it thru root explorer, click and choose stock app or lithium player, ..weeird

guess i need to odin and start over, bc i know it worked after i flashed bonsi

ok, now im stumped, the folder is named music. i have odin'd back to stock plus root. even swapped sd cards, it seems to use other stuff on sd fine. but the stock player will not find any tracks, nor will any after market player,
wtf

i guess im gonna swap phones bc, i cant even begin to wonder why this wont work, ive tried different mp3s , folder named "music" i know for a fact it was working last week bc i use music junk alot. ive tried tracks not from there also. i mean, whats left?
i factory reset, odin'd back, swapped cards. nothing.
