Apparently, the Defenders from Alwayz on Sale ship from Brooklyn, NY. My Defender just left and is traveling First Class via USPS. Hopefully, that means Friday at the latest. Come on, Defender.

What exactly is the carrying case? What's the difference between the two, besides the belt clip?

The Defender comes as a case and holster combo. It must an issue with description. This case comes with a built-in screen protector. The Commuter is just the case and does not add as much bulk. When I saw the Defender drop test, the added expense and bulk is well worth it.

The Commuter also comes with an adhesive screen protector instead of the built-in one on the Defender.

Thanks for the info. I also saw on Amazon one defender case was described as a carrying case while the more expensive one was not.

I was thinking the same as jcp, but noticed the part numbers for the same black unit are different too. We'll, the part number is the same, but the part extension is different.

The SKU on the OB site is 77-21086_A. I looked on Amazon for different vendors and none of the product detail mentions a holster.

Based upon the latest tracking, hopefully it will be later today and definitely by Saturday. I can say today given the hour since we just got back from seeing The Dark Knight Rises.

Just noticed the Otterbox website is finally showing the black defender in stock.

Sticking with my Seidio Convert/surface for now. Really like it, but may eventually check out the defender in Atomic flavors

The latest USPS update reflects that my Defender has arrived in my town. Hopefully, today is the day.
