Where is Samsung Knox on the S8 Plus?

Is samsung knox not available on the s8 or s8 plus? When I go to install it from playstore it says it isnt compatible for the device. Can anybody shed some light on this?

I guess it is replaced by "secure folder" on the S8. Pretty much the same thing.

I see no way to set Knox up but secure folder sets up nicely and is secured by knox....

It's secure folder powered by Knox. I lost all of my picks in knox from s7edge

Secure folder and Knox are 2 separate things. Secure folder is another step of security. Knox is built into the entire galaxy platform.

I didn't mean it was the exact same thing just that it works and sets up pretty much the same way.

Latest version can be downloaded from APK Mirror and it installs fine. It does not work perfectly fine though. Seem to be a bit unstable and the UI is stuttering. Functionally it seems to be working fine.

I know it does not have the EXACT same functionality. I was pointing out that people are talking about 2 different types of KNOX, so that they have a better understanding.

New update for Samsung My Knox was posted yesterday, but it is still listed as incompatible with the S8 series of devices. I don't get it. This feature is very useful. Why take it away? Without this I may as well just be on an iPhone. It is more secure as far as general vulnerabilities go...

Secure Folders is what replaced Knox I believe. I don't use it. I just encrypt both the phone and the SD card.

What do you mean just a folder? It is working just like Knox did. You are making it sound like you can only use it to transfer files into. It works the same way as Knox and is protected by Knox. It is like having a completely separate phone on your phone other than when making phone calls(it defaults to the phone app in personal space). Maybe they should have named it something else since by reading "secure folder" makes people think it is only an encrypted password protected folder.
